Questions & Answers
For its intended use, this dry pepper shaker is adequate. Each hole is 1/4" in diameter.
It is made of glass.
A plastic base and a stainless steel top are included with the shaker. This would be an error if you only got the stainless steel top.
The SAN318 shaker is made of plastic and has a dredge top with small round holes.

It isn't; the glass has a Made in China stamp on it. This is extremely deceptive, and it irritates me greatly.
Although the quality is acceptable, I am only giving it one star due to misleading advertising. This item is "Made in China," and it does not function as advertised. This is a MADE IN CHINA product.
I understand that plastic is frowned upon these days, but this is a great substitute for an $8 glass shaker. BPA-free br>br>BPA-free br>br>BPA-free br>b free? SAN plastic is mentioned in the listing, which is correct. SAN is a non-toxic plastic. Disposable plastic with a recyclability of 7 out of 10. The plastic has the feel of acrylic, which is easily breakable, but I didn't find that to be the case with these. Even though SAN is a breakable plastic, the product appears to be extremely durable because when I opened one from the package (I bought four), it dropped on my hardwood floors and bounced around a few times before rolling to a stop under one of my cabinets. The incident left no visible scars, breaks, or scratches. br>br>I bought these to keep baking soda in. I make my own cleaners and needed something more portable than a tub or jar of baking soda and a scoop in my three bathrooms and kitchen. As a result, this product serves the purpose for which it was purchased. br>br>Be prepared to use a little muscle to loosen the lids, as they are very tight. It is possible to remove it. I can't confirm if they are truly dishwasher safe and non-staining because I don't need to wash them and baking soda doesn't stain. staining. However, I appreciate how much easier my cleaning routine has become as a result of it.
This has proven to be extremely helpful in cleaning my air fryer. I just shake it onto a damp cleaning eraser sponge after it's been filled with baking soda. I'll shake it right into the fryer's wet sides on occasion. Having loose baking soda in the cabinet or having to keep it in a plastic bag is far less convenient than using the shaker.
The sugar dispenser is made of thick glass that will probably not break if dropped from a few feet above the ground. The metal lid, on the other hand, feels like the cheapest, thinnest, and most garbage-tier aluminum you could buy. br>br>The threads on the lid are not well-matched to the glass. suited, nor does the child possess any type of rubberized or silicone gasket that could aid in the creation of a better seal. br>br>The last two times I tried to refill the dispenser, the lid became so stuck on the body that I had to use my belt wrench to pry it free.
This should be simple, but the implementation falls short. The sugar dispenser's metal lid has a small hole in it, and part of it is blocked by the rectangular hinge on the metal cover over the hole. Because of the small diameter of the hole and the fact that the metal hinge blocks part of it, the user will have to manually lift the metal cover to dispense sugar, and even then, the flow will be extremely slow. There are, in my opinion, made-to-order items. Alternatives to Taiwan that do not suffer from this shortcoming.
This item is poorly constructed and unusable. This is something I would look for in a dollar store. It will not allow you to tighten it; instead, it will continue to spin. When you try to Slug it down after 15 or so spins, it loosens up again. This was at its most constrained state for me. When I was adding parmesan cheese to my pizza, the lid fell off, leaving a pile of Parmesan cheese on one slice of pizza. I figured it was so cheap that it couldn't hold the weight of a third of it filled with grated cheese, so I tried it again, only feeling it a quarter of the way up, and it lasted about 10 shakes. On my third slice of pizza, the top fell off yet again, can I add grated cheese? It was also made of a plastic I had never heard of, and it was at its tightest. Making a paper airplane out of your money, lighting it on fire, and tossing it into the air is more valuable than purchasing this piece of garbage.
In my bathroom, I bought the plastic version of the sugar shaker for powdered Boraxo soap so that I could keep it handy while also having it in a more attractive container. This shaker is perfect for that, and because it's made of plastic, we won't have to worry about dropping a glass shaker in the bathroom with slick hands.
