It is an excellent peel, but you may still need a metal peel in addition

It was difficult to remove the dough from my metal peel because the dough was sticking to it. The pizza slides off a Zulay bamboo peel into the oven with no trouble at all after a very thin coating of flour is applied. There is a slight bevel on the edge, but it is not thin enough to get really under a pizza that needs to be rotated soon after being cooked. That will still require you to use a metal peel in one swift motion to get under the crust. It is a great peel to build the pie and launch it too!.
