When empty, the bag measures 20" X 9" X 4".
The inside measurement is 19 inches, but it will fit 18 inches.
I carry a 12" chefs knife, which is perfect for my needs!!
The case is just over 20 inches in length and width. In the case, I have a cimitar knife with a 12-inch blade. If your steel is 19 inches long (including the handle), you might be able to squeeze it in.

This bag is almost perfect; I can hold every knife I own in it without any of them slipping out. This book comes highly recommended. There is one pocket on the front that appears to be designed for a cell phone, but it is far too small for one unless you have a flip phone. I have enough room in my bag for 14 knives, my Benriner Wide mandolin, sharpies, pens, extra blades, and a guard for my mandolin, plus four more knives and accessories. This is, without a doubt, my favorite bag. br>br>I've read a lot of negative reviews about the zippers breaking, but if that happens to me, I'll contact the seller. If the problem is with the bag rather than the owner, I'm sure they'll replace it. They are people trying to make a living just like you and me, so it would be nice to express our gratitude, as I am doing right now. THANK YOU for carrying the nicest bag for my chef tools that I've ever owned. I've had bags from Wusthof to Ergo Chef that weren't nearly as good as this one. This is something I would strongly recommend to any chef or cook who is serious about keeping their knives in good condition. Keep in mind that this isn't hard plastic, so don't forget to grab your knife guards.
Hands down the best knife case for a serious knife and tool enthusiast! In the future, I'd like to see the fabric upgraded to be water resistant or even waterproof. However, I give it a ten out of ten for storage, and a nine out of ten for protection. You have absolutely nothing to worry about if you have saya for your knives (sheaths that actually protect the entire blade). Buy one for yourself; it'll be a good investment. I'm seriously considering purchasing another one or two for my coworkers in the kitchen, simply because every chef should own at least one of these.
Fits 270mm gyuto with saya and 300mm gyuto without saya. This is a fantastic bag. Fits 270mm gyuto with saya and 300mm yanagiba with edgeguard (though the 300mm with a saya would probably fit as well, depending on the size of the saya). Except for the strap, there's a lot of room, it's very durable, and it's well made. Simply purchase a high-quality strap from a hardware store or repurpose an old knife bag's strap. br>Honestly, this is the most well-made knife bag I've ever owned; it holds so much, and you never have to worry about your expensive knives getting banged around or abused. This book comes highly recommended.
I liked the first one so much that I bought a second one to give as a present. Solid construction with plenty of space for knives and other tools.
00 more than the others who "just" look like it but aren't. I've been carrying knife bags, cases, rolls, and other accessories for over 30 years, and this is likely to be the last one I purchase. This is the ideal solution for serious Chefs and Cooks, with steel zippers, heavy canvas construction, plenty of space, and a dozen or more knives inside. Thank you for creating a product that is as dedicated to my success as I am. Glen G.
This is a fantastic bag; I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to fit everything I needed in it, but it has a lot more capacity than it appears. I was even able to fit my full-size scale inside. I really like the front pockets for my notebooks, pens, bandages, and other small items, and I'm impressed with the bag's overall construction. The canvas is extremely durable, making it ideal for kitchen use.
This bag holds a lot of knives and other tools, and it's easy to carry on my shoulder, even when it's heavy with all of my gear. I'm buying this bag again because the zippers on my current Ultimate Edge have broken. I'm unable to use one of my sections due to a lack of zip. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this bag after four years of heavy use.
Fits all of my knives and tools, everything is secure, and it appears to be very sturdy. For professional cooks and chefs, this is a must-have.
