I unboxed the item and discovered that it is a $30 Bed Bath and Beyond item, as evidenced by the photos.
This was broken and had a $10 need bath and beyond sticker on it when it arrived. It cost me $0. 00 less than when I bought it. Conserve your funds.
Bed and bath are for sale by the seller. For an extra $10, you can get a product that is beyond tagged. I had to look through a lot of pages to find the same rating from years ago. I'm attempting to maintain this state of consciousness. Although the product is satisfactory, the price is excessive. At the very least, they could have stated that they were reselling it.
The bamboo knife dock is made up of a number of separate pieces that are not attached to the board; why does the knife not rest between two securely attached pieces? The parts of the dock lift up and come up with the knife when you remove one of the knives, which is poor construction. This item will be returned to me.
flexible to a fault My young lady- These are in my mother-in-law's kitchen, and I like the idea of being able to store knives of various sizes and shapes in a small space without having to fit them into slots. I wish the box came in a variety of sizes so I could fit them into drawers already equipped with organizers. A narrower one would be nice, and I noticed that some people wanted bigger ones, but you can always buy two if you want bigger, but you can't see it if you want narrower!.
Arrived in a state of disarray. One end of the piece has completely broken off. Having to fix things that came out of the box is inconvenient to say the least, so I'm hoping wood glue will work. If you don't, your nails will show through and ruin the look. We would not have bought it if we had known it was from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
I wish the box was a few inches longer. My Cutco knives are too long to fit in the box.
For years, we kept our knives on the side of our refrigerator in a covered, magnetic knife rack. We've recently switched, and I'm really enjoying this knife dock. The cork padding appears to provide much better protection for the blades. And, thanks to the smaller size of the dock, there's still plenty of room in the drawer for other kitchen essentials. To make this work, I needed to fill two old knives from our collection.
