It will still work for ice cubes, but it will not be as effective.
Yes, a child as young as eight can use it. My granddaughter, who is six years old, required very little assistance.
I'm not sure if you can order replacements, but we needed more, so we cut off the larger yogurt, cottage cheese, and sour cream containers, washed them, and used them to make ice. By the way, freezing hot water results in clear ice.
When you turn the handle, there is a spot where you can put something. The top section will open, allowing you to place the ice; an ice molder is included.

I've only had it for a few hours, but it's already exceeded my expectations. I was impatient and couldn't wait for the molds to freeze, so I started with ice cubes from my freezer, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fine texture and amount of fluffy product produced with only a small amount of ice and effort cranking the handle.
I "didn't" want the highly desired super smooth finely shaved ice because it melts quickly when used in a drink with a higher liquid content, such as a Frappuccino. According to the reviews I read, the shavings are a little more "chunky. " I make a cappuccino and then place it in one of the provided cups to freeze. When I'm ready, I make a cappuccino and then shave the frozen one to combine, stir to make a Frappuccino, and then top with whip crème and squeeze caramel or whatever else I want. You've gone overboard. It's perfect. Although frozen water can be shaved, frozen cappuccino maintains the flavor intensity. It's magnificent, and this machine is ideal for it. I was also surprised by how little effort is required to "shave" the ice. It produces shaved ice quickly and efficiently, so it's a win-win situation. I wish there was one that didn't look like a kiddy snow cone machine, but I guess I can have it all. good tool.
Halo! It's perfect for iced beverages! It's ideal for Halo. Halo. It produces puffy ice and is simple to use.
I'm 13 months pregnant, so the video is in bed! br>br>This machine is fantastic; I only use it twice a day and have to restrain myself. But the "snow ice" is incredible; every time I use it, I get the same texture and no sharp pieces.
There have been three machines in my life.
pros:
- shaves ice to a fine shavebr>- does not necessitate a lot of effortbr>- There is no risk of the motor freezing up. br>- After a lot of use, the blades stay sharp. br>- Because it does not require electricity, there is no risk of electric shock. br>- nimblebr>- nimblebr>- nim br>br>cons: appears fragile but is actually quite strongbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b
- not quite as quick as an electric ice shaverbr>- For the elderly, the amount of work required may be significant.
When I first opened it, it appeared to be filthy and dusty, but I assumed that was due to shipping. As I began to remove the bag it was wrapped in from the box, dust and dirt flew everywhere. What I thought was mud stuck in little pieces all over the box turned out to be bugs eggs when I examined it more closely. Hundreds of them were strewn about in odd little lines throughout the box. Then I began to notice the bugs as well. I'm disgusted, to say the least. br>br>I didn't want to pull out the snow cone maker to get more of the nastiness, so the pictures only show a small portion of what I discovered. br>br>On top of that, it's out of stock, and we won't be able to get another until after Christmas. Unfortunately, this is for our autistic son, who will have difficulty understanding why he does not receive the same number of gifts as his siblings. 😢.
Plastic has the appearance of being inexpensive and light. With the blade, it's difficult to turn the crank. Because of how small and light the whole thing is, it looks like a block of ice. The ice chips were hard and unpleasant to eat.
