Questions & Answers
This is different in terms of size and strength. It's a small machine that's about the same size as a blender. It has ridged plastic with metal blades on its body. When the lid is pressed down on the ice, instant snow like shaved ice is created that only block shavers can match. It takes about 30 seconds to complete one, so it's quick, but it's also quite loud. EVERYONE WILL BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE USING IT. Making a few at a time is fine, but it's not a good idea if you're running a business. br>br>You can take it wherever you want, plug it in, and you're ready to go! It is, without a doubt, the best home unit available. Shave the snowie 2000 professional concession if you want to compare apples to apples. It's the most advanced and fastest product on the market.
We bought this machine to satisfy our cravings for Bahama Bucks. The snow has a lot in common with each other. It's not quite the same, but it's a lot better than the chunky, cheap snow cones you get at a concession stand, and we're saving money by not having to pay $30 per visit for snow cones. Since it was delivered, we've had at least one round of snow cones per person every day. It was well worth the money.
You can use regular ice (I fill a glass) or purchase inexpensive snow cone paper cups. Add one or a combination of snow cone syrups to the cup and pile it as high as you want- it will run down into the cup. You can adjust the amount according to your preferences--it'll be fine-- It appeals to me.

Although the price may appear to be a little high for a shaver, believe me when I say it is well worth it! The syrup samples included in the package are delicious (I've since ordered 8 pints of snowie syrup).
I had a long road to get to this shaver, so I've included my experience below for anyone who is as obsessed with shaved ice as I am. I don't believe most people require an ice shaver at home, but if you do, this is a good option; I am completely satisfied with my purchase. br>br>Why are you using this shaver? br>At first, I bought a large block ice shaver from a different company. It appeared to be a large blue drill press that had been slightly modified to shave ice, but it arrived filthy, and a swab test of the shaver plate revealed that it contained lead. I needed something a little safer, which led me to the Little Snowie 2. While the Little Snowie 2 is manufactured in China, the build quality is excellent, and everything about it is food grade (as far as I can tell). Furthermore, the Snowie was extremely responsive and helpful when I contacted them via their website. I was very confident in purchasing their product. br>br>The ice quality: br>Ice produced by cube shavers isn't as fine as ice produced by block shavers, but it's close enough. Prior to purchasing, I emailed the company and received the following response: br>'This is an 85 on a scale of one to one hundred, with one being the old crushed ice shavers and one being a block ice shaver. 'br>I believe that is a fair assessment. The vast majority of the ice produced is powdery perfection, with a few small flakes thrown in for good measure. They're insufficient to detract from the snow ball's quality. br>br>Description of the item: br>br> br>The shaver is about the size of a coffee pot and can be easily stored on a counter. It's extremely well-designed. I was initially concerned because it is smaller and lighter than I would expect for the price I paid, but my concerns dissipated after the first use; the build quality is excellent, and the ice it produces is fantastic. It's a good thing that it's small and light. I'd recommend ear plugs because the ice bouncing around as it shaves is quite loud. Replacement blades are available, and the manufacturer claims that the blade will last for about 1000 cones. br>br>Ideas for application: br>It will take some time to figure out how to make the best ice, but in general, larger, rounder, and colder ice cubes will produce a better product; I use bagged cubes and they work fine. More sugar in the syrup makes the finished product smoother. br>If your syrup is too watery or warm, it will melt and refreeze the snow. Once you've mastered your technique, you can start lowering the sugar content. I can now get good results with syrup that contains more than three parts water and one part sugar. br>Choose the appropriate cup and spoon. The ice will melt on contact if you use warm glass cups and metal spoons.
When the first model was released, I bought it right away. It was well-built, with steel parts inside the hopper, and came with a three-year warranty. We moved two and a half years later, and the movers completely destroyed it. As a result, I placed an order for a second one. This one only came with a one-year warranty, and the previously stainless steel parts have been replaced with plastic. I am extremely dissatisfied with this company's decision to cut corners.
Response time is extremely quick: I spoke with the company, and they are sending me a new machine today, as well as a prepaid return label for the broken one. They have no idea what happened to this one, but their engineers will look into it. br>br>I purchased the machine with the intention of making snow cones and Taiwanese snow ice. - is the temperature of my freezer. 10 and - It was 7 degrees outside, and I was assured that the ice temperature was not the problem. I'm not sure what happened to it before, but it wasn't like this before. It was fantastic. br>br>When I get the new machine in, I'll post an update. br>br>Date: July 5th, 2018 I had this machine for only 4 months when the plastic piece in the center broke, costing me 199 dollars. Beware! We didn't use it very often because it broke quickly! I bought it for my autistic son's birthday party later this month, but he won't be able to attend.
This tiny machine scuffs up ice like it's nothing! I adore this product for everything it has to offer: a unique design, a powerful motor, and an easy-to-use interface. Dome ice shaper with a handle! I highly recommend Snowie products, and I appreciate all of the information Snowie provides on YouTube and the website; it gives me the impression that help is available if I need it. Sincerely, Lorrie, S. br>br> Texas.
