If the blade needs to be sharpened, take it to a knife sharpener or a lawn mower repair shop.
Because we typically use store-bought ice bags for larger gatherings, we prefer to do so. We've also used ice cubes straight from the freezer.
We've got the Arctic Blast and are very pleased with it. We only use it at home (on a regular basis). When comparing the two, the Blizzard appears to have a slight edge in terms of aesthetics (light up sign), but that's about it. The motor, as far as I can tell, is identical. If I'm only going to use it at home, I'm not going to pay the extra money for the Blizzard.
The parts of this machine are covered by a three-year warranty.

I can't express how much this item has meant to the guys to whom I gave it! It was sent to the USMC troops on Okinawa in Japan - It's hot as hell there for the majority of the year, but the joy it brought them and everyone else can't be measured. br>It's a fantastic piece of equipment - It's strong enough to withstand the constant use of a large number of men. Men of all ages - young and old It is a big hit with everyone. We are overjoyed that Amazon had just the right SnoCone Machine for them to receive, one that would last the test of time. br>We purchased all of the necessary attachments and supplies to make it as simple as possible for them to set it up. When it was first brought into the Unit, they all looked like small children on Christmas morning. br>Many thanks to Amazon and Paragon for making this possible. I'm grateful because you had exactly what I needed.
I recently received the Paragon Arctic Blast Sno Cone Machine, which was damaged upon arrival and must be returned. That isn't a major issue - It is necessary to ship. However, I took the unit out of the box to inspect it before deciding whether or not to re-install it. place an order for the item My fingers were covered in silver paint and metal particles as I ran my hand around the inside of the hopper. The hopper's interior was anything but smooth - It appears that a sanding stage in the manufacturing process was skipped. I'm not sure why I was getting paint on my hands or why the interior had been painted in the first place. br>br>I'm sure metal shavings got mixed in with the ice, and I'm sure paint got on it. That's not something you'd want to serve to children!.
It was almost like snow cream when we shaved it! We also tried frozen ice cubes, which had the same consistency - The plastic liner tray is very nice and pliable, and the shaved ice is fluffy and nice. It is simple to clean and remove. Cleaning the system as a whole is a breeze. It arrived promptly and in excellent condition. br>br>The only issue I see is keeping the ice cool when using the machine outside; we're considering keeping jell packs under the tray and possibly packing the packs around the outside, as well as a collapsible cart to make it easier to transport - It's a little heavy, but we were expecting that when we bought it. We needed something sturdy that could make fluffy ice, so that was the price we had to pay to get it.
It was delivered on time. The only issue we have with the Sno Cone Machine is that the plastic bottom insert drain plug does not align with the drain hole on the metal frame. We can't get the plastic drain hose into the drain, so there's no way to drain. To keep the ice from melting in the plastic insert, we have to collect it in a metal pan, but the machine does a good job shaving it.
It's what we use in our concession stand, and it's great. We got a lot of bang for our buck.
It was a hit at an event where we used it to sell sno cones!.
It works great, I bought it in 2018 and it's still going strong. I'm actually going to buy another one because I'm so happy with it. br>Got my second snow cone machine, only one bad part on the door is bent, but it's not a big deal.
This is what we use at home for pool parties. In the summer, this is a fantastic way to keep cool while impressing your guests. It's simple to make the syrups at home. Shaved ice is a popular treat among our children, and it's a tasty treat when served with light syrup. The motor and hopper are made of sturdy materials. A slight natural tilt of the tray towards the drain would be beneficial.
