Yes! Two Allan wrenches/hex wrenches will be required. Unplug the Snow Machine, turn it over, and peer through the snow chute. Spin the blade housing slowly while looking at the snow chute; the connector will appear as you spin. Remove the blade housing by loosening the screw with the wrench. Now that the blade housing is removed, loosen the screws for one blade at a time, adjust the depth, and tighten with the hex wrenches. Carry on with the second blade in the same manner. Replace the blade housing and tighten the screw you gained access to through the snow chute.

It isn't capable of producing crushed ice. It's literally snocone quality, which I don't mind, but I did buy it under the impression that the blade could be adjusted for crushed or shaved. Hello, I've had this machine for over a year and I'm really happy with it. To respond to your question solely on the basis of my own personal experience. I discovered that the ice consistency is determined by the type of ice used and how frozen it is. If you use a countertop ice maker and fill the ice machine opening with it straight from the ice maker, you will get more crushed ice; if you want a fluffier, more shaved ice, I recommend using store-bought ice or ice from your freezer. The more frozen your ice is, the fluffier the result will be.

Shaver is a razor that does exactly what it says on the tin. The double blades are an excellent addition. Inside, it works okay; it's not quite shave ice, and it's a little chunky, but it's good enough for regular snow cones.
