It's a good price for what you get. When you have a nice knife and you are serious, then you should spend more and get a better one. The difference between Tide and discount laundry detergent lies in the price. They both work, but Tide is much better, so you decide on which is better.
I'm here to tell you that this is a knife sharpening rod, but if it does the trick, you can use it anywhere. I hope your day is going well
I like this sharpener a lot
That's not true. A knife honed in this way would only sharpen the serrated edges and not the serrated points. If you want to use this steel, make sure that it is straight-cut A knife that has an edge.

My stainless steel rod was 10 inches, so I bought this to replace it. As it is 12 inches long, I have more room to get a fuller stroke and I don't have to just do it the safe way by pressing the tip against the block I could do it like a professional chef and cross this while doing something else with my other hand. The carbon steel also makes a significant difference when compared with my older stainless steel, which was For $8 I was unable to resist, but I could probably have gotten by with the old one. Sorry, too, with the dad joke in the title I couldn't resist.
As a first point, the title has some ambiguity in it. Honing rods like this are by no means PROFESSIONAL in nature. I am aware that the rod has taken on a significant amount of rust in less than 2 months of use, as can be seen from my photos. It has been going almost daily since I got it, but I have been cleaning and oiling this almost everyday at the same time. "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" is a classic case in point. In my honest opinion, here's what I think of it The rust is the only problem, even so it can be used This was a very good value for the money when it was brand new. Someone who uses it several times a month would be well served by this program. Please be aware that this comes with a COURSE rod, so be careful not to overdo the hone with force or you might damage This is precisely what I did and ended up having to sharpen it with a wet stone to bring it back to life.
If you decide to get this, make sure you clean it well and oil it every time you use it.
Although I have never owned one of these before, I've been sharpening knives as part of my interest in wood working and especially because I'm a "turner" since I own Sharpening old objects is an ongoing process for me There are crosscut saws, chainsaw chains, knives, scissors, and bowl gouges in schools. Although I'm not sure why, I've been missing out not having one of these in my kitchen and this particular model is sturdy, well made, and works well. However, it leaves a rougher edge than I was expecting, but that is something I can live with, and it also means you can get a good edge on a dull knife, without trying too hard. As a must-have kitchen item, I recommend it to anyone who is a foodie.
works as you would expect it to. Here's a video illustrating how to properly use it.
Wow. This is something I really like. Besides my sharpening stone that I don't have time to use, I also have one of those sharpeners you use to I saw an interview on news with knife company, in which they recommended using a honing rod at home and even explained how to use it. It was as simple as ordering, receiving, and sharpening my 3 most commonly used knives. I didn't even have to use a sharpener! The joy of cutting with a sharp knife can't be described.
Over the years, I have used several of these steel sharpeners, and I think this one is the best. It works perfectly for my purposes. It is especially pleasing to the eye because of its The length of the cable is the longest one I have ever used, so in my opinion it is safer. It has so far been good to me.
It straightens out blunt blades so they are able to be sharp again. While I sharpen my own knives, they eventually get "dull" as a result of constant use. The reason they're not as sharp as they were is because they get warped when they're used. With only a few slashes on each side of the honed surface, my knives straighten out instantly. Now I can peel tomatoes again with ease! There are 12 in total A length of an inch is a good length to allow for back and forth cutting. The build quality is very sturdy, and it appears to last for a very long time.
I used the same ones I used in my restaurant days, they work great and do not have the binding on the blade that others said they had, so I will certainly purchase again for backup and to give to my chef friends as gifts.
