Questions & Answers

What kind of timer does it have?

The timer cannot be connected directly to it, but you can use it to set a reminder. The rice will begin to cook as soon as your timer turns on the power again.

Those of you who have used it longer than a year, what did you think?

Normally, we use rice scraper as well as be careful in what we use to wash. I am not sure how that happened.

Can you tell me what plug fitting it has? I live in the UK. ?

This cigarette lighter will only work with 120 volts. Using a plug adapter will burn out the unit if you intend to use it in UK. In my search for an adapter on Amazon, I found this "BESTEK Universal Travel Adapter 220V to 110V Voltage Converter with 6A 4" The only thing I do is try to help. I do not work for Bestek at all.

By purchasing this Tiger rice cooker, I made one of the best decisions of my life
5/5

My name is Izumi-I am Japanese As an American, I cook (usually white) rice every single day, so all I wanted in a rice cooker was something that would cook rice quickly. The rice cooker absolutely delivers solid, delicious rice night after night, and that's what I've been looking for in a rice cooker. pet peeve is hard, burned rice that sticks to the sides and bottom of cheap rice cookers, but with this Tiger, I don't have to worry about that since the rice is cooked evenly throughout. I can't believe how fast it is! It may be because I only had cheapo rice cookers during college, but I did not realize that making three rice noodles could take so much time. In under 30 minutes, we were able to cook more than five cups of rice. If you're looking for a no-frills, solid appliance that's going to give you delicious rice every time, then I highly recommend this rice cooker.

You should definitely check it out

In January, my Aroma 10 cup rice cooker succumbed to old age after 15 years of faithful service. After I had tried out several Japanese rice cookers, I finally decided to splurge on a fancy one. After all, I'm middle age now and I deserve the best, I was not as excited about the Zojirushi brand since it was a bit pricey for my frugal self. So I looked at tons of comparison reviews and this Tiger brand consistently scored high. Thank you for making this available to me. That's what I love about In the whole time I have been making rice, I haven't had a bad batch. Despite the lack of a statement, I am fairly sure it has fuzzy logic, since I made 3 cups of rice different amounts of water a couple of times as a test. In my old Aroma, those variations would have resulted in either undercooked rice or soggy rice. It works just as well in this rice cooker as it does in my other rice cooker. I have not yet tried the brown rice setting, nor have I used the Tacook setting. This is probably one of the best purchases I have made so far in 2019. I'm assian and we eat white jasmine rice often, so this makes fluffy, delicious rice for my family. Cooking rice makes me happy. Who gets happy when they have to cook rice? I do, because this rice cooker is just so silly simple that it brings out the best in.

A big problem for me is how easy it is to scratch the pot
4/5

I've tucked this thing away for so long. I just updated It has been around five months since I got it, and I use it about a few times a week. There are times when the water spills out of the top, and the inside needs to be cleaned often to remove any rice water gunk. Those are not dealbreakers, but you should keep in mind that you need to A big problem for me is how easy it is to scratch the pot. It appears that there is no replacement pot that I could find. I love this machine no matter what. It takes forever to cook brown rice, but I still love it. The water does not splash while cooking, the steam tray is super sturdy, and the pot is also sturdy. The spoon holder allows you to use it without having to carefully insert it in, stupid, but useful! My only wish is that it made some sort of sound.

Considering the price range of this rice cooker, it is a good deal

Considering the price range of this rice cooker, it is a good deal.
Being Japanese, I had a number of rice cookers in the past. I can say that the rice cooked by this is actually delicious. Using warm milk for a few hours would not dry out the rice (it would still taste good even if you bought a $2,000 cooker) and the rice wouldn't become hard or dry. I suggest wrapping them and freezing them when you want to keep them in their My husband and I usually cook 5 cups of rice, which is too much for two people to eat at one time. So we wrap them up into small portions, as much for one person to eat (about 200g most of the time), and put in the freezer to let them freeze. It is easy and fast to make fresh and tasty rice very quickly and easily when you microwave it for 90 seconds for each wrap before eating.

Excellent rice cooker at an affordable price
5/5

As an Asian, I've tried a number of rice cooker brands, but I am sure that I won't switch to another brand now that I have used the Tiger. My rice will still feel delicious even after 4 hours. The rice has been cooking for 5 hours. Whenever I prepare lunch for my husband to take to school, I leave part of it Moreover, my 7 month old son enjoys the weaning food I prepare for him by using the steamer plate since it helps save me time and doesn't affect the quality of the rice below. I simply leave the rice cooker at the keep warm setting and it still seems fresh. The pictures on my blog show some of the dishes I make with the steam plate. Don't hesitate to buy this product! It is worth it!.

The money I spent on this was a complete waste! The quality of the video is extremely poor
3/5

When I cook my rice, I take extra precaution not to use a Teflon pot that has been damaged. The material I use is soft, non-abrasive Still, there are nicks and spots of Teflon that have started to appear in my pot even after using abrasive sponges. Sure, there is some sticky residue left on this pot after it's been used to cook brown rice, but I let it soak in water for an hour or two before I begin Prior to cleaning, I do not drop utensils in here. Even after two months, the pot still loses its Teflon. A great disappointment, and I would strongly suggest going with a $40 Aroma rice cooker as opposed to this $70 model. My excitement would be sparked if I could get back half of what I paid. The fancy Japanese rice cooker gets a thumbs down from us.
