I'm sorry, but I can't accept this one. Does a rice cooker still require you to figure out how much water to use and how long you need to cook the rice if you still have to figure out how much to use? Currently, I am on my fifth batch of rice (three brown, two white) and still haven't achieved fluffy, non-mushy rice. *disclaimer this is a very small batch. all you want for your family meal is 10 cups of rice, this is not what you want. It's good for a single use Only 2 people are allowed, which is perfect for me as I only cook for two people. There is nothing fancy about this cooker, but it looks nice and avoids taking up much counter space. The controls and the look are both appealing to me. In actuality, it is the actual cooking that gives rise to the problem. You don't need to follow the instructions from the manufacturer. In actuality, they give you a cup to measure the rice in and they have lines on the pot that, once you put the rice in, show you how much water to add. It's just that their measurements aren't quite accurate. Using the water level indicator, a batch of brown rice was successfully cooked, however, the unit automatically selected 35 minutes when the setting was changed to brown rice. This would clearly be how long it takes for rice to be cooked, wouldn't it? So that's what I did, and so did I think. However, if you look at the rice cooker time chart, you will see that it is different. According to the recipe, the cook time for one cup of brown rice is 35 minutes There are 90 minutes left. ages 35 to What would 90 minutes look like? I cannot believe a difference of that magnitude can occur! The best batch I have ever made There is still a lot to be done The water that was recommended worked perfectly, but after 90 minutes I had to add another cup of water. In spite of my best efforts, I have not had enough success making white rice to even give tips to others. There seems to be too much exposure of the water line indicator. A default cook time of 25 minutes is used for white rice. In my experience, it took more than 60 minutes for me to cook. There's something wrong with my timing. I've been so busy cooking/throwing away rice that I haven't had time to write. It is either the courage or the fear Perhaps you can even give quinoa or oats a try. However, it's possible I'm wrong about what a rice cooker should do.
I really hate giving bad reviews, but. . .
I really hate giving bad reviews. As far as I knew, it was a set it and forget it kind of thing. I might as well just cook it the old-fashioned way if I have to make all this guesswork My stovetop is equipped with a pot that cooks on the It's unfortunate that I got rid of the box it came in, so I'm not able to return it. My plan is to donate this to Goodwill for 45 cents, I'll eat the $45 and I'll take the rest.
The software works just like it was advertised, and it is very The perfect amount of rice and water are poured into the machine, a button is pressed, and you Monitoring is not necessary, stirring is not necessary and the results are perfect. Having two small kids and being very busy, I can sometimes find it hard to prepare dinner. Having a challenge that we know all too well can be overwhelming. My favorite part about this is that it makes perfect rice while I prepare It is true. It was even more exciting to eat We make our oatmeal from scratch and my kids love it in the morning. It means that stirring must be done a lot. With this unit, I made perfect oatmeal, I never had to store it, and I was able to go about my morning duties without being interrupted. The victor is! I'm always looking for recipes that contain rice. . . In this case, no one has to know how easy it is!.
Rice cookers like this one are best for one or two people who do not have a lot of The ceramic cooker I found at Walmart is just the thing I've been looking for, since I'd been looking through Japanese and Korean rice cookers, but they were all too bulky or expensive. I'm delighted to have discovered this rice cooker! It takes me only a few minutes to throw two cups of Korean rice in, wash it, and set a timer without thinking twice. It took no time to learn how to use it- We were able to complete the process quickly and easily. Among the things I'd change, the delay times are one of them. The time control starts at an hour and goes up to the end of the day, but I really wish you could start on thirty minute intervals and just hold the button if you wanted it to go for a while. I usually do not delay the time because I usually do not delay the cooking of rice. For white rice, it takes 35 minutes. Brown rice can be made, as can oatmeal and other things. I haven't tried any of those. For white rice, the amount of time is perfect, though you can change it if you would like. Cleaning the pot is really easy and I love how the rice keeps warm once it has finished, and you can see how long it has been warming for. As a whole, I would recommend this really cute little outfit.
You won't regret buying this rice cooker! I love it because it's cute and functional, all at once! I recently began paying closer attention to what I eat and am now getting more involved in food preparation, so I thought I should get a rice cooker to help introduce more grains to Before buying this one I had purchased a cheap one, but it was still much bigger than I needed, and it would also burn the bottom of the rice. The situation boiled over a lot, and I was irritated. As a result, I started looking into higher end rice cookers and found they are quite expensive, especially if you want a version with "Smart" or "Fuzzy logic". It is the feature that sets apart the higher-end rice cookers from the rest. Essentially, fuzzy logic is just a name given to a rice cooker that uses software to determine whether it needs more heat, more time, and even adjusts to how much moisture it requires. This is more prevalent in the more expensive versions of the appliance. I also found this little guy (which has the same ability to alter its parameters for optimal rice!)
Then I found this one! My new rice cooker is just right! Just big enough to cook my own portion of rice, and small enough to cook enough rice for two The number of people is three. Especially when using brown rice, which means it doesn't boil over too much. I just made wild rice in it as well and it came out perfect. I just make my rice this way now, and it always comes out perfect. As well as being simple to use, it is also very reliable. A variety of options to choose from, including white and brown rice, quinoa, and steel-cut As I mentioned above, I've tried all of them and they've worked well. For wild rice, I just use brown rice. You can adjust the cooking time for each setting individually, as well. The food cooks fast, which I like as well. Using the white rice setting for brown rice won't ruin your results if you're in a hurry! Additionally, I have never had burnt rice! It has only ever lightly toasted to the bottom once, but this was caused by leaving it on warm for too long. I blame myself more than it was the rice. Besides being easily cleanable, it is also fast and effortless to install. I don't worry about the non stick, and since it is ceramic I don't worry about the heat. Almost everything you need to clean a room is easy to take apart and put back together again. All in all I am very happy with my experience! It will take some more experimenting, and I'll update it.
