There was a mistake in the rice cooker I purchased. It was a 20 cup unit, not a 10 cup one. There is no 100% stainless steel on this pot. There is a slight pull to the magnet, but at that price I wouldn't expect it to be 100 percent Eat out of a pot instead of a pot made of aluminum.

A Maxi Matic ERC-400 was bought by me This rice cooker was manufactured in 2010. The rice cooker works like any other rice cooker. Plug in and it cooks the rice. Before using it for the first time, I ran the insert pot under warm water and washed it with soapy water. I cooked rice and we ate it. In the second attempt, I noticed the bottom of the leftover rice was grey. As I was putting it in the refrigerator, I noticed the bottom as well. My shock at the fact that we ingested the chemicals was intense. It appears that I did not wash the pot thoroughly or thoroughly enough and I washed the pot using soap & water The sponge was used to scrub the inside after all stainless steel is a tough material. The third time I cooked the rice, I wanted to make sure it had the gray color or not. My third time too, I found grey colored rice. As soon as possible, I returned the rice cooker. This cooker is excellent, but do not lose the measuring cup. Such an error wastes time and effort, and it is labeled with the cooker numbers, not the regular cups, so if you can't find the cup, look in the bag of rice that you ate last.
There is disappointment on my part. cooks rice nicely and looks beautiful, but I do not believe it is stainless steel as the reason I purchased it was to cook rice. You can see in the first picture that after the first use there appear those little dark grey specks but what worries me the most is the fact that the rice is tinted a pale grey color in the area where the specks appear. When I contacted the company and told them what my problem was, they sent me a new inner bowl, which is in Again, after the first use of the product, the spots were less prominent, but bigger, and the rice was still tinted in the area where the dark spots appeared.
There have been no other instances of this happening with stainless steel pots. There is no authentic stainless steel on this. There are already pictures of what it looks like after fading from previous customers. It seems to be a fake stainless steel pot, although I thought maybe it was one off.
