I was reluctant to purchase this because I was afraid the rice would stick to the bottom of the pot, just like the instant pot and the regular stove. There is a pot on top. The toothpaste didn't stick at all! I was thrilled to find out this. There is a little bit of starchy residue (see photo), but it rinses out with no scrubbing required! The surprise was pleasant and genuine. Besides, the rice was cooked to perfection without the need for me to watch This is a win-win situation!
