There was a very cheap construction to the George Foreman quesadilla maker I bought. The cord on this one is far too short. Is it more durable?

I agree - this is a good one! This is a perfectly normal range for a cord. I have a couple of these and they clean up easily too. As a replacement, I got this one because the one I had for years broke and I couldn't find the one I had, so I got this one.

Do you think that the lid should swivel back and forth a bit?

Due to its flexibility, it can swivel just a little bit. Spinning back and forth doesn't mean as much to me as you seem to think it does. A problem arises when it is excessive

Would it be wise to have a loose lid? When opening it, does it have a spring that holds it in place, and when closing, does it have a spring that holds it in place?

Since I bought it as a gift for my son, I have no idea if she likes it or not I also gave it to my mother-in-law, who really liked it and said it worked well.

Why are there differences between a standard original model and a Tuesday version?

Please forgive me, I bought for my son -- I don't know the size. It was a favorite of her law.

The family of my son loved my sandwich and wanted one for them as well. It makes great grilled cheese sandwiches, though not as great as Quasadia.

There is no reason to spend money on this

Using this twice and throwing it away was my experience with it. Since the crooked piece was aligned top and bottom, it did lag at the top. Initially, I thought it would be like my sister's, but it was nothing like what she wore. In my maker, I used the exact same ingredients as she used and the same tortilla size as hers. In my case, the tortilla failed to crisp and spilled everything out. The model she bought was restaurant perfect! I'm going to spend a little more money to get mine.

We loved this quesadilla maker until we used it a few times and noticed there is a gap between the plates & the handle I'm looking at the outside and inside There are drips of cheese inside. I would not recommend it.

Dead on arrival

It is unusable. There was previously an opening of the seal on the package. There were a few small pieces of plastic in the box, as well as the lid was broken in two. As far as I can tell, there is no easy fix or obvious method to return them to their original state. I think it is good that it can be returned, but not worth wasting time or energy returning it. Those papers should be thrown out.

As a rule, I study and read a lot about things before ordering them, so I can't even tell you how many times we've used this. The price was just right for the one I purchased. You do not want to overfill your machine, since you want everything to cook evenly and not run out.
