Cooking hot dogs for a long time causes them to brown and become crunchy. In order for hot dogs to turn properly, they should be very straight. A curved hot dog will not rotate on a roller. It will be difficult for them to stand.

We were pleasantly surprised to receive the hotdog roller early. After cleaning the unit with soap and hot water, we dried it. During this time, the factory coatings and smell should have been burned off by running the unit. After cleaning with soap and hot water, I again disinfected the unit. As soon as the rollers were coated, I used a kitchen brush to apply cooking oil, in an effort to reduce any roller noise. I preheated the unit for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. On top of the hotdogs and sausages, place the hotdogs and sausages. Within 20 minutes, I had hotdogs that were crisp and ready to eat. There were thicker sausages and it took 30 - 35 minutes for them to cook I spent 35 minutes on it. There was a lot of interest in this unit among families. It will be more commonly used by us in the future.

A simple to use system. I use it for hot dogs and it works great. The bag contains 12 beef dogs that are standard size for Costco. This is a simple and quiet device. I like the look of it as well. Clean rollers with a damp cloth and a stainless drip tray that can be removed completely. The tacos do not roll successfully on this machine. They slip off the rollers because the rollers are smooth. In addition, the tacos do not roll because they are not round. It's also not a good idea to have brats around. However, they cool unevenly even though they spin fine. I still like it a lot.
