A crack appeared around the heating coil after the first use of the plastic housing. Because the stone part of the grill is so porous, it absorbed all the juices from the vegetables that were put on it and it was nearly impossible to clean, and it would have required sanding or something similar to restore it back to its original
The metal side of the grate is so flimsy that it warped during use, which is a I basically did not receive any responses from customer service.
Fire up the grill and enjoy! I wasn't satisfied with the level of the stones it seemed as though the entire unit was out of level! Also, it got so hot that I placed it on two trivets made of tile During the crack, one piece cracked into two pieces. You didn't get any instructions with it. Due to its late arrival on Christmas Eve & the fact that I had to use it, I used it The only option was to go to jail. I still had a good meal in spite of the wobble A good time was had by all! A return & a new start A different one can be purchased.
I have used it twice and don't recall any issues with cracking plastic. In the past, I haven't experienced any discoloration problems with the marble. I had brushed it with olive oil before the first use. Overall, this grill does its job very well, but there are a few minor inconveniences I would be interested in seeing how the stick side holds up and how the lower containers at the bottom hold up. If you have never tried raclette or are unsure if you will like it, this is great to try. I think it does the job, but it leaves me wondering if I should spend another $50+ on a better one, or if I should Time will tell whether or not this is the case.
A lot of people say how much they like the grill area and it does a great job. When using the stone part of the grill, it works fine, but you should add oil or something to stop the vegetables from burning.
This is a great product that will be used extensively and got the MasterChef name added to it. There is no need for it to be super-sturdy, but the build quality is not superb. It would be a lot heavier if it were more durable. The closest thing we have to the garage sale introduction that started us on our journey to awesome is.
However, the plastic handles on this product make it difficult to use. That was an issue when using it for the first time.
The first thing that disappointed me was the pan for the steak was not hot enough, and the steak was boiling rather than grilling. We were excited to try this brand because of the name on the package however, the heat was not enough and the cheeses took a long time to melt. In order to clean the stone, you need to use chemicals. After the first use of the product, we decided to refund it.
There was something wrong with it because it was too small and it looked bad.
