So my boyfriend wouldn't have a reason not to make me arepas, so I bought this so I would not get fat on them. The top 10.
No matter how tall it is, it won't reach As a result, the "feet" do not even touch the stovetop, and it stands practically on top of the burner. The electric stovetop would only work on a flat surface.
To heat arepas, I placed it over my burners and used it precisely for that purpose. I made a huge When the burner was set to low, I could not prevent the arepa from sticking simply by spraying the grill with non-stick. I found cleaning the grill a nightmare, and after a couple of uses, the grill begins to discolor and burn. The metal content of my food made me wonder if it was leaching. Using this on my electric stove has been a great way to toast some corn tortillas.
If I get my Colombian arepas from the internet I must live in Pittsburgh, where I find there are not many Latinos. Anyhow, it is overpriced and not great, but it accomplishes what it is supposed to do. The next time you need a grill and can't find one locally, I suggest that The item is not regrettable because I need it, but in any case, it's what it is. My goal is not to buy it unless I have no other option. In the end, I would have had to pay the same price if my mother sent it from Connecticut. It would have been a lot cheaper for me to just pay her to ship it.
