As the grate heats up, it becomes I have seen white fat dripping in the grease pan underneath when the pan gets warm, and some people have suggested putting some water in the pan to prevent that from happening. That would not be a good idea, in my opinion. The grate and drip pan can be cleaned in the sink after 15 minutes once they have cooled to that point.
The best I can tell. You might have to wait a while.

You will find the more you use it the better it will work. I have lowered the cooking time since I used it for the first couple of times. You will notice the difference as soon as it breaks in.
I found this indoor grill to be a good solution to do a small BBQ at home as much as possible given the situation with the flu pandemic.
There's no point in heating this up. It takes way too long. Almost 20 minutes were required for a hot dog to be cooked. As an old saying goes "Trust no one and everything will be fine. ". The quote "You get what you pay for" can be applied to most anything.
I'm not happy with the product in the slightest. The text stated it is a large family The one I bought was XL and I acquired it about 16 years ago. With this grill, I was able to grill 6 pork chops at once as well as 8 burgers at a time. It wasn't smokeless, so I upgraded to a smokeless grill. As a result, I need a large grill to feed my large family. Because I can only cook half as much with this grill, it means I need to cook for longer. Had no work to do during my time off.
Except for chicken wings and hotdogs, all my meats taste dry when I use it. In order for the food to be cooked, the heat must be constantly adjusted. The electric grill is not a product I would recommend.
You always have to watch the temperature control on this grill, as it works but you have to adjust it constantly. As well, the grill is much smaller than I expected a family grill to This is a smaller photo than what you see.
Getting this one was a great choice for me. This is one of the standard George Foreman products that works great in the kitchen and is well worth owning. Aside from ordering the larger one, my only regret was not doing so. I am really happy about this.
