Questions & Answers
TÜV Rheinland, an independent international testing organization, certified JURA coffee machines as extremely hygienic, based on its own stringent criteria.
Hello! The connection kits are unfortunately incompatible with this model - Only the following models are available: XJ, X8, X9, Giga X7, Giga W3, and XS90 are some of the models that have been released. I agree with Dan's earlier comment that this machine has a large water tank and would not require as much refilling as some of the smaller Jura units.
Hello,br>This is the machine I own, and it's a big one.br>br>The bean hopper holds nearly a pound of coffee, and the machine has a 100 oz. a tank of water The larger Pro filter cartridges are used in this machine, as well. This is not the model with the "elevated" super capacity bean hopper and the extended side water tank. It is, however, a Pro Series unit, and I am very happy with it. I have a total of six Juras, ranging from a Giga 5 to various Impressas to this one, and they're all fantastic. This model is ideal for use in the office. br>br>Strongly recommended.

You usually get what you pay for, and in this admittedly expensive machine, you get a lot, with each cup tasting perfect, depending on the quality of the beans you use. This is the pinnacle of European style, design, and functionality. One suggestion: If you're making cappuccinos, invest in a glass Jura milk cup ($30) and warm the milk in the microwave for 30 seconds first. Otherwise, you'll end up with a cup of coffee that is warm rather than hot. You're not going to be let down. I received no compensation for writing this review. I just wanted to express my excitement.
Our first was purchased while we were living in Europe, and we only sold it because the voltage in the United States is different. Our second machine had a 16-year life span. They would have repaired it, but we couldn't be sure they'd have the parts for the obsolete machine, so we decided to buy a new one instead. This machine is incredibly simple to program (much simpler than our previous two!). ), which looks great, grinds the beans more quietly than the previous one, and makes great coffee! Jura machines are expensive, but I highly recommend them and would purchase one again!.
The manual makes no mention of a water fill sensor. It stopped dispensing coffee after six months of use. I contacted Jura, and after several calls and lengthy waits, a customer service representative was able to resolve the problem. To clean the "hammer" that pacts the coffee grinds, stick your hand into the drip tray area and use a towel to clean it. That must have been the location of the sensor, because it now dispenses coffee as it did before after I cleaned that area.
The constant rinsing bothers me, but I understand why it is necessary. When you turn it on, off, or wait 10 minutes after each milk drink, it will self-rinse; don't make a cup and leave it sitting! It will be filled with rinse water. It produces excellent coffee. The milk chiller was an add-on that I purchased. Some people complained about the temperature, but they simply needed to wait a few minutes for it to warm up before using it.
In comparison to what this machine produces, Keurig tastes like dirty water. This machine is well worth your money if you enjoy coffee.
We had a Gaggia Academia coffee maker for years and had to send it back several times for minor repairs. The Jura has performed admirably thus far. Despite the fact that it is early, the coffee is excellent, and we have had no problems with repairs. We would strongly suggest this band and model at this time.
So far, everything has gone exceptionally well. I've only used the double expresso once today, and I'm pleased with it. Later, I'll add a pro and con to this comment.
I like how it has a small footprint and appears to look after itself, with the exception of adding beans and water. br>So far, it's been fantastic.
