Because the reviews on this espresso maker were mixed, despite the fact that they were overwhelmingly positive, I read a lot of them and wanted to try it out for myself before writing my review. Also, take the time to read through the other reviews. Many of them appear to be for a coffee maker, which this is not. This isn't even close to being a cup of coffee. You can make one or two cups of espresso at a time, and my best advice is to read and follow the instructions carefully. When loading the part that holds the grounds, you must be somewhat precise. Allowing the machine to warm up for more than a few minutes improves its performance. I'd say five minutes, and it's already quite hot. The milk frother does its job admirably. People have claimed that it does not actually heat the milk in the comments. I believe this is due to people not allowing the steam to heat up sufficiently before using it. I discovered that frothing milk first, letting the unit heat up for another minute or so, and then making expresso is the best order. To find your preferred espresso, you'll have to experiment a little. You can froth the milk with sugar, flavor the espresso cup with flavoring, or mix in cocoa mix, to name a few possibilities. It's critical, in my opinion, that you always follow the cleaning instructions, which should take no more than five minutes. Last but not least, it's been reported that it leaks. Only if you don't follow the instructions will it leak. It is clearly stated in the instructions that you must empty the water out of it when you are finished using it, or else it will drip. There will be no leaking if you do this. Also, the first time you use it, be sure to look over it carefully. You may not have removed a small piece of clear packing tape from the bottom of the water unit if your espresso is only dripping rather than flowing continuously. That happened to us, but we were able to fix it fairly quickly.

You've probably already realized that if you want real espresso for less than $200, you've come to the right place. It doesn't exist, but given its price / functionality ceiling, this little Gevi does a good job. I recommend this machine if you're willing to compromise (which you must with an espresso machine under a grand), but it does not push 20 bars of pressure through your grounds. And that's a good thing from the standpoint of extraction. br>br>Plus, there's a bonus - It looks great in your white-colored room. kitchen with a theme Let's face it: most machines in this price range are both functionally and aesthetically deficient (cold espresso, severe channeling, insufficient pressure to create crema, inability to froth, plasticky, all-black exterior, etc. ). The Gevi 20 bar makes a mildly tasty espresso that is served hot and looks cute on your counter. And, yes, the other wand is functional. up until a certain point Although you won't get true "melted ice cream" consistency (which is required for espresso art), you will get a decent creamy foam that looks good on a cappuccino and has a pleasant mouth feel.

Most 8 oz mugs will not fit under these machines. br>br>I was able to find a small mug that did fit underneath, but I will be purchasing espresso cups from Amazon. With that said, the instructions were very clear, and after completing a full cycle of water only, I was able to make my first cup. For the ground, it was simple to start the Brew, and I was able to make 2 to 3 oz of Espresso in 10 to 15 seconds. br>br>Cleaning is simple, and I love how little space it takes up. Overall, this is an excellent espresso machine that I highly recommend.

My espresso machine is the best!! Omg, it makes my mornings so much brighter hahaha, and it's so simple to use and clean. I'm going on a trip and I'm taking it with me lol I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's my first espresso machine and I'd say it's amazing and beginner friendly a tip for anyone looking for an espresso machine is to look up how to make a good coffee with this type of machine, my favorite being a cortadito! The majority of the reviews for this coffee maker were positive. The coffee, however, tastes like plastic, even after running plain water through it several times (as recommended). Despite the fact that it is supposed to be stainless steel, the machine feels cheap and poorly constructed. I'd say the majority of it is made of plastic. It looks nice, but we're going to get a more expensive machine because I don't want to think about what I'm drinking every time I use this machine. I can't find any indication that it's free of BPA, which is something I didn't think about when I bought it.

And, most importantly, there will be no bitterness! None! It's only been a half-hour. br>For me, it was a fantastic find. I would strongly suggest it. 1 spoon per cup should be used. Yes, 6 spoons for 6 cups; however, I recall from previous makers (from Gevalia) not to make less than 4 cups because it affects the machine; I also kept my previous spoons (again, Gevalia) which is a good thing because this spoon is flimsy. br>As I previously stated, the directions could be better. Nothing, as in a vacuum cleaner. Perhaps I'll try to spot read through the pages once more.

This is my second time using a Gevi machine. The mesh cup designs on both have significant flaws. It appears to be mesh, with all the holes for the espresso to drain through, but when you take it out and examine it, you'll notice that none of them are functional. On one side, it's a stamp, so the coffee is pushed through a tiny hole. On the inside, the rest floods and wastes a lot of water. Disappointed to the point of insanity. Because I assumed the first machine had a manufacturing flaw, I ordered this one instead. Nope.
