4 oz. black coffee on the highest setting Because I drink my coffee with milk, I need to make a black coffee and a capuccino to get a standard 8oz mug. However, I do not recommend this machine because the one I just gave away about two weeks ago was not covered by the company's long-term warranty. Miele is the brand to choose if you want dependability.
No, and it should be removed from the list. calcified on occasion Based on usage and water hardness, the machine will notify you when it's time to replace it.
Yes!
Yes, there is a separate button for hot water, but if my memory serves me correctly, it comes out of the same spout as the coffee.

It produces excellent coffee. That does not bother me at all. I understand that taste is subjective, so some people might dislike it more than others, but I have no complaints about the coffee. The milk is perfectly frothed, and the coffee tastes exactly as it should. We use it on a daily basis, and we've almost completely stopped buying coffee from espresso machines. br>br>I changed the rating to three stars to reflect how much we enjoy using this device. However, for the sake of reference, I'll leave the dreadful experience we had with customer service below. br>br>I believe that a great product should be more than just a set of numbers. DeLonghi boasts of striving for excellence, but they fail miserably when it comes to reliability and customer service. br>br>I received my machine in perfect working order. Right out of the box, it worked perfectly. The grinder, however, broke down after only six weeks of use. It began making a horrible rattling noise and eventually stopped grinding coffee. I started by sending them an e-mail. e-mail to see if there's anything that can be done right away. They responded 10 days later, requesting information in order to process a service request; I sent them the invoice, serial numbers, and everything else they requested, but they never responded. We called the support line after a week or so and were eventually sent a box and a shipping label - After another ten days, it was delivered. We delivered the machine, and now comes the fun part. We contacted them again after 4 weeks went by with no response. After further questioning, they admitted they had no idea where our machine was and that they were moving their service center from one location to another. They've been looking for it for weeks and still haven't found it. They. lost it. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> They eventually located it and shipped it to us, this time with priority, after several more phone calls. Even so, it took about 60 days from the time it broke down to the time we could use it again. br>br>Beware! br>br>Beware! br>br>Beware! Think about it. You'll be fine if your product works and continues to work; however, if it breaks, there will be no easy help available, and you'll waste a lot of time and aggravation trying to fix it.
It's been about 18 months since we've had the unit - There are no problems, and everything is working fine. Descaling warnings appear depending on how many dispensings have been made, but descaling is simple. We don't use the milk accessory all of the time, but when we do, we've never had a problem. A warning appears when there is insufficient water, as well as when it is time to empty the grinds collection bin after so many uses. Even if you empty it early, the warning will still appear. br>Overall, it's been fantastic and has more than paid for itself when compared to going out to buy coffee. Continue to work with the water and beans.
For missing parts and instructions for optimal heat, the seller provides excellent support. Use the water sensors built into the pitcher to make coffee cream. In general, even if the product is refurbished, you can expect it to work properly. This Delonghi ESAM5500B Perfecta "refurb" espresso machine went head to head with my $5,000 Jura Giga3 thanks to the Seller's guidance. br>There are no regrets; it was the best investment I've ever made. Sandy, I appreciate all of your efforts in resolving my espresso machine problems.
The customer service was outstanding and timely.
It's a great coffee machine. I like how strong and rich the flavor is, and I recommend it for an afternoon or morning drink.
The wife and kids adore the simplicity of the cappuccino maker, and I appreciate the detachable milk container that allows them to do so! My only request is that after the start button has been pressed, I be able to change the strength or size setting. That was possible with older models of rotary dials. It is not the case with electronic devices. It simply means that when I get my cup after someone else has received theirs, I'll have to pay more attention.
I know I got this Coffee Machine secondhand (refurbished), but it's filthy and disgusting! That surprised me!.
It's been two years since I got it. I make 6 or more espresso drinks per day at our house, sometimes more, for the past 5 years with no problems. This machine puts in a lot of effort; two weeks ago, the grinder broke or jammed, I'm not sure. I contacted Delonghi customer service, who promptly sent me a white gloves padded shipping box and label. I sent it to the Dallas service center via FedEx, not knowing when I'd see it again. br>br>Today, I was surprised to receive a call from the delivery guy informing me that my prized espresso machine had been left on my porch. Everything is in good working order, and the issue has been resolved. I am blown away. I'm aware that super automatics are finicky, and I've heard horror stories about them. Thankfully, I was spared from having to go through one. Delonghi, thank you so much! br>br>Aside from that, we love this machine, which can make espressos and tall coffees. The milk container works great and froths every time; just don't leave milk in it when making milk drinks, lattes, or cappuccinos. Even in the fridge, it must not be airtight because it quickly goes funky. br>br>I'd buy this machine over and over again. It appeals to me. I'm not sure how I managed to go two weeks without it.
