The knife is extremely sharp, as many people have noted. Unfortunately, the chef knife's blade shape makes cutting yourself on the back corner of the blade far too easy. Your forefinger can easily come into contact with the blade if your hands are large. My wife and I both nicked our fingers, and our first thought was, "How did that happen?" " When choosing a paring knife, keep in mind that it should be sharp.
Exceptional quality and stays razor sharp for years!.
100% wise decision to purchase this for veggie and fruit preparation.
After returning the Damascus knife I ordered two days ago due to poor balance, I did some more research and ordered this MAC paring knife. br>It has a great weight, balance, handle size, and is razor sharp!.
In my hands, it is very sharp and well balanced, and it is well worth the money.
Carbon steel blades are the way to go if you want to get the most bang for your buck. This is a great size pairing knife that's shaped like the larger Mac knives and keeps its sharpness for a long time. This was a wonderful present for my mother-in-law. I strongly suggest it!.
For a few months, I was in love with this knife; I used it every day and it performed admirably. Then it became drab. Then it bowed at the very tip - When I attempted to repair the bent part, it simply broke away. I love my Mac Chef's knife, but I'm not going to buy another paring knife.
