I'm not sure, but the box in which it arrived was strudel-like and well-wrapped.
The manufacturer's warranty on this item is limited to a lifetime.
I use a Wusthof knife sharpener that places the knife in the proper position for sharpening automatically. It performs admirably.

I saw this knife in the kitchen of a chef friend, and I fell in love with it. Jealousy had consumed him. I saw it on sale last week and purchased one for myself. This is without a doubt the best knife I've ever owned, and I'm using it for everything: roast beef slicing, quartering limes, dicing onion, and dicing pears for cakes This device is extremely sharp and simple to operate. I'd like to get one for each of my sisters, but one of them is constantly cutting herself because we grew up with dull knives, so maybe just the older one: SHARP.
It's similar to a Unix command-line program - It's made to do only one thing, and it does it well. "This knife cuts. "br>br>It's also a pleasure to work with. For instance, dicing or slicing bell peppers with this blade is simple and enjoyable. It'll cut off the ends of a celery stalk as if they weren't there at all. I haven't needed to sharpen it yet. br>br>I haven't needed to sharpen it yet.
This paring knife was recently purchased to replace my old one (which was inadvertently thrown away with the garbage). The blade of my knife snapped in my hand while I was peeling potatoes as I usually do. It's only been two months (and it's barely been used). This is the first time this has happened to me with any kitchen knife, and I certainly didn't expect it from a $90 Wustoff knife, so I'm wondering if I simply received a defective product. It's too late to return, but I'm curious about the warranty on these knives.
My friend was cutting limes with it when she cut her finger really badly. We should have taken her to the emergency room, but we decided to glue her back together at home due to covid. Fortunately, because the knife is so sharp, the cut was very clean and healed quickly.
I bought it to see how it compared to the Zwilling pro 3-in-1. My girlfriend and I couldn't use the paring knife because the handle was too short. I felt like I was going to cut my hand every time I went to grab it because I could only hold it with my thumb and first three fingers. Because the quality was good and the knife was reasonably sharp, but not as sharp as the Zwilling, I gave it four stars.
I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a high-quality knife without having to spend a lot of money.
It's a great knife, and I'm still getting used to having a sharp knife! I'd been putting off getting good knives for years, and now I have three from Wusthof, including a five-inch hollow-edge knife, all in the 'classic' category. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to improve their food preparation or cooking skills in general!.
The first was purchased nine years ago, and it is still in use! br>br>I purchased this one because my wife enjoys cooking and uses the previous one for everything. Now that I've got one, I'll be able to assist her. br>br>Excellent steel, good handle size, and ideal blade length. You can't go wrong if you invest in a good sharpening steel.
