I wouldn't sharpen the knife; I have one that was given to me about ten years ago and it's still sharp, though not as sharp as the one I just bought.
The blades appear to be Japanese blades with a Teflon coating, so no Chinese made items it appears.br>I've been very pleased with these knives, and they are NOT expensive either. You'll have to sharpen them a bit, and I don't recommend putting them in the dishwasher, even if the company says you can; even they recommend hand washing.
It's written on the blade: br>KUHNbr>RIKONbr>Swiss Seriesbr>I'm not sure if that means it's made in Switzerland, but I've had it for a long time and really like it.
Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes Always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always These knives are fantastic!

years. The COLORI collection appeals to me because it is versatile, ergonomic, and retains a sharp blade for a long time. When I'm slicing, dicing, or rough chopping, the different colors make it simple to "color code. " Red denotes meat. I was disappointed when the package stated that the knives were made in China. They weren't made in Switzerland, which is a bummer.
The atmosphere is ideal. They're extremely sharp, and the sheath is extremely useful. I'm surprised to say that I've discovered two new paring knives that I really like. You will not be disappointed with your purchase.
My husband enjoys cutting food into bite-size pieces, and I enjoy baking a lot. I bought two of these knives because he likes them so much. It wasn't available in the color I wanted, but the red appeared to be quite nice. We eat them frequently as snacks. They're razor-sharp and come with a cover to protect your fingers. For the two of us, these are excellent small knives.
This is the best serrated paring knife I have ever used. We fight over who gets to use this when we're cutting up vegetables, so I'm going to order another one. I would strongly suggest it.
My preferred knives are Kuhn Rikon. They're the only knives I use at this point in my life because of the low price, great value, and ease of use.
I bought another one, but the knife was too short, and I cut my fingers both times I used it. The knife was handed back to me.
This knife, for some reason, excels at sectioning half grapefruits for breakfast; my $40 Japanese Damascus steel paring knife pales in comparison. If you enjoy grapefruit for breakfast, this knife is a must-have.
This knife is the best; I've had one for years and it still cuts as well as it did when I first got it. Another one in a different color was on my wish list. I highly recommend this knife; do not hesitate to purchase it; you will not be disappointed.
