That is the package's size. They must have taken the easy way out with the listing. The shorter one is about 7 - 8 inches long, and the longer one is approximately 7 - 8 inches long. 8 inches. These knives are exceptionally well-made. Both would be useful to have, as they are long-lasting and sharpenable. The only way I get rid of one is if someone throws it away by accident. buggers.

I bought a similar sized knife for the same price and one of the bolts holding the blade to the shaft broke by the second week. The edge and bond of Henckels have been preserved. It's a good one. Weighted. Sharp-tongued people were always telling me that Sharp-tongued people were the well-edged The cost of a weighted knife is justified - In the long run, they are much safer because they require less force to complete the task. I'm arthritic and clumsy because of it - So, while this may appear paradoxical, it is correct in my case! This is a knife I strongly recommend.
br>br>It's a great, well-made paring knife. br>br>It's great, well-made paring knife. br>br> All Henckels knives depicting a single man (rather than the trademark twins) are not made in Germany. Some are produced in other European Union countries, such as Spain. China is the country of origin for this one. Don't dismiss it because it's manufactured in China. It doesn't matter where it's made as long as it's well made according to Henckels specifications. br>br>It came with an extremely sharp factory edge, but I used a stropping block to sharpen it up even more. It has a spacious, well-lit interior. Handle that is evenly distributed. The rivets on the knife I received aren't completely flush with the plastic handle, which is the only minor flaw I found. The sharp edges of the rivets catch a tiny bit as I rub my fingers across the handle, but this isn't a big deal. Even on high-end German-made cars, I occasionally notice the same rivet flaw. made knock-offs of Henckels and Wusthof cutlery, as well as other high-end Japanese cutlery My pricey Japanese-inspired outfit. crafted Kramer- The rivets on the Zwilling damascus 10" chef knife are not completely flush. I think I'll be able to fix it by wiping the rivet edges with epoxy or another instant glue to fill in the microscopic gaps. br>br>This is a very nice paring knife for around $21.
I just got the knife today and immediately put it to use. It appeals to me. I was replacing an old paring knife and had no idea how dull it was. This one was like butter when it came to removing the peel from the orange. Both the blade and the handle were the perfect length for my hand. I was considering purchasing a more expensive knife because I thought this one was too cheap to be a good one, but I figured I'd give it a shot because I could always return it. I'm glad I didn't pass up the opportunity. It has made me very happy.
I purchased two sets at a time when they were about a third of the price of the same set at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (the only difference being that the BB set was made in the United Kingdom). On the handle of the B set, there is an additional logo. We were all blown away by these incredible paring knives!.
The larger knife has a small crescent curve at the end of the blade that curves into the handle before going straight. I cut myself twice on it because I can't peel vegetables or fruits away from my body (old dogs can't learn new tricks). However, I like both knives (the smaller one has the same design as the larger one, but it doesn't appear to be a problem). I'm happy with my purchase because the price was reasonable and they fit my hand perfectly.
This is a fantastic knife that is both solid and well-made. It's designed for chopping small vegetables in particular. The knife, on the other hand, arrived with a dull, unevenly ground edge. I finally got it razor sharp after several passes with a fine grinder and a lapping stone. It's been a great knife since then. br>br>If you know how to sharpen hardened steel knives, this is a fantastic buy. If all you have is a sharpening steel and a K-blade, you're in luck. You might want to spend a little more money on a knife that has a better edge than the one you got from the mart sharpener.
I don't consider myself a knife expert. I don't know much about them, and I've spent most of my life with some pretty crappy knives because I've never been able to afford a good set, and since I'm vegan, I don't need much more than some good pairing knives to cut up fruit and vegetables. br>br>I bought these because they were on sale, and I've stabbed myself in the fingers twice with them so far. THEY ARE VERY SHARP, and I'm not used to a good knife, and neither are you. Take care! The blades are razor-sharp, and the grips are incredibly comfortable. I'm really impressed with the quality for the price; I figured that since this same brand makes some of the best commercially available knives I'm familiar with, I wouldn't expect their less expensive knives to be bad, and I was right. br>br>At this point, slicing and dicing is something I actually look forward to. All I have to do now is keep my fingers from getting in the way!.
It won't cut through apples, which I mostly use for snacking. It's a major letdown. This item is a complete waste of money.
