Wait about a day after turning the bag inside out.br>2. Wash the bag (inside out) in the dishwasher with no food scraps or in the washing machine with a neutral scented detergent. Don't overthink it; simply choose the less difficult option.
3. Allow to air dry inside out if possible or pat dry with a towel. Paper is never a good idea.
4. Steps 2 and 3 should be repeated every week. 3 on bags that haven't been touched in a long time.
It shouldn't be that way. A handle and a head are present, but they are tightly connected and will not easily separate. Request a replacement if yours came in two pieces.
I've had my two bags for two years and have never had any fibers from the bag in my ice or drink.

Two heavy-duty Lewis Bags and a Beechwood (Chisel) Hammer are included in this set, making it a good value. This is for you if you want to make Tiki Drinks or have any other project that requires crushed ice but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a crushed ice machine. You place the ice in one of the heavy-duty canvas Lewis bags, close the flap, and start hammering away with the beechwood hammer. I almost always do this on a cutting board to protect the counters, and keep an eye out for cubes that scoot around the bag and need to be crushed by feel. "Voila!" you say as you open the bag. "You can scoop crushed ice into your shaker and top off a Tiki Drink with a very aesthetically pleasing cap of crushed ice," she says. "After that, I turn the bag inside-out to air dry, and then you throw it in the washing machine to clean it. " The extra bag is a nice touch.
I like how neat the canvas bag keeps it when crushed (bashed?). ) ice, and I get a kick out of whacking the bag with the wooden mallet. It works great for crushed ice in cocktails or as a base for a half-shell oyster platter. It is a must-have if one does not already have a refrigerator that produces crushed ice.
Ice Trays is a place I'll never return to.
This purchase has made me extremely happy. Everything was exactly as described, and it was even better than I had hoped for. I haven't used it yet, so I can't comment on durability, but it is a much thicker and more durable material than I had anticipated. Has a hook for hanging the bag to dry. The mallet appears to be of good quality, and I believe it is made of solid beechwood. Because the cotton is so thick, I expect them to last a long time, but if they don't, a replacement is included. There will be no more reusable plastic bags that I will have to discard on a regular basis. My only gripe is the new smell when you first get it, but I was able to get rid of it by hand washing mine. You should be able to wash it in the dishwasher or the washing machine. This product has exceeded my expectations!.
The result was semi-liquid ice. The bags were all ripped and crushed. It made perfect ice cubes for a slushie at home.
I'll admit that it's a rather large mallet, which surprised me because I expected it to be smaller than my meat tenderizer. It is unquestionably durable.
However, the head of the ice mallet was not connected to the shaft when it arrived. I contacted Amazon's customer service department - they were extremely helpful. Instead of the seller, they are in charge of customer service for this product. I'm looking for a solution that I can use at home. Because there were no instructions, the item was replaced. I really wish I had the ability to "fix" this one. (I'm sorry for wasting Mother Nature)br>However, the ice mallet is beautiful, and the bags appear to be sturdy enough to withstand a good pounding.
On the outside, the bag remained dry, and it protected my counter as I pounded/crushed my ice!! I would strongly suggest it.
