Item has been delivered. The ice crusher is made of metal and has a wooden handle. It appears to be quite durable- It has a good amount of weight and heft to it. This isn't a flimsy structure at all. It appears that pounding ice will be a part of his future.
I'm not sure what kind of steel it's made of, but it's never rusted in my experience, and I keep it dry by wiping it after each use.

This is an excellent ice pick. The ice used to stick around and build up in the freezer, and all I had was a dull knife, so I whipped this bad boy out and in less than ten whacks, it was gone. Then I made a drink out of the broken shards of ice while the freezer kept an eye on me to remind it who was in charge.
Now I see why ice picks are frequently used as a murder weapon in thriller novels and films. The handle is very sturdy and has a lot of weight to it. br>Because it's surprisingly sharp, I'd like to see it come with something to cap it off. (Perhaps it did, and I immediately misplaced it? For storage and transportation, I keep it stabbed into a wine cork.
This ice pick does a good job of breaking up large chunks of ice with little effort, and it feels solid and well-made. I don't mind paying the price because it's well-made.
The broad, flat base at the end of the handle feels much more comfortable in my palm than others I've used with rounded or narrower handles. Aside from that, it's a standard ice pick, though one that's a little more durable than a few others I've tried. I'm pretty sure this is the last ice pick I'll ever require or desire.
Sturdy and razor-sharp. This is capable of slicing through a clump of ice cubes that has become stuck. It hasn't gotten much duller so far. I was sick of cheap, bent ice picks with dull points. This is a purchase that is well worth the money.
I really wanted to like this product; it's well-made, but it's a little awkward to hold. I have small hands and feel as if I'm holding a doorknob in my hands. It functions properly; however, it is inconvenient.
This ice pick was handcrafted in Japan and is of the highest quality. I just wish it came with a sheath made of the same wood as the handle to keep it safe when not in use. It comes with no safeguards at all.
I like the product because it's easy to hold, has a sharp point, and an ice-cracking handle. Is there anything else you could want? Any bar would benefit from having one of these in it.
