Questions & Answers

Is it safe to put this ice chipper in the dishwasher?

There's no word on whether it's dishwasher safe, but the handle isn't made of wood, and I'm not sure if the metal is rust resistant. It appears to be a solid piece of equipment. It's ideal for slicing chocolate bars into smaller pieces. Please keep in mind that this is a razor-sharp instrument. After each use, I hand wash it.

What country did the item come from?

It should be included in the description. I just know it'll work perfectly. For the purpose of ice and chocolate. If you're unsure about something, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Amazon has ensured that you have access to all of the necessary information. I didn't care about the country; all I cared about was having this tool.

What is the material used for the handle?

"insert thermoplastic (TPR) rubber grip into molded nylon handle"

To break up a giant chocolate block, use this instead of a hammer
5/5

I'm surprised at how well this breaks up large blocks of chocolate, as well as ice cubes and accumulated freezer ice, with just a gentle stab, twist, or rocking motion. It's a lot better than trying to hammer those things. Do not attempt to hold a chocolate block in one hand while hammering it with the other. This tool has a plush, plush, plush plush plush plush plush plush Handle has a non-slip grip. Just be careful; the pointy ends are extremely sharp and can easily stab or damage your countertop, cutting board, freezer walls, or an errant body part if you're not careful.

OMG! I'm here to inform you, my friends
5/5

This is a fantastic item! For the holidays, my husband and I do a lot of chocolate dipping, and he used to have to cut up the chocolate for me with a butcher's knife, which was quite a job! Until now, that is. I can't recommend this tool highly enough! It simplifies the process of chopping chocolate. I'm doing it because it's so simple.

Ice Chipper with Superior Construction
5/5

On Amazon, I found a few other ice chippers that are similar to this one. Each claimed to use nickel/chrome plated tines (or at least it appeared to be from photos). In the past, I've found that plated metal instruments used for chipping or striking eventually fail, with the plating flaking and peeling away. This chipper claimed to have solid stainless tines that were not plated - and they appeared to be true. a far superior alternative - It is true to its word. The tines are made of solid steel and do not appear to be plated. I'm not a metallurgist, so I can't say for sure what type of steel it is; it is magnetic, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's stainless. br>br>The chipper is well-balanced in the hand and has a good handle. With the molded thermoplastic rubber grip, there will be no slipping. The chipper's metal shaft also appears to be much more durable than that of other Amazon sellers. It appears to be a solid cross-hatch pattern. The head is cast into the assembly, and the tines are cast into the assembly rather than being press fit. In addition, the tines are quite sharp. Although they aren't needle points, their sharpness would cause them to bend and dull quickly. This should result in a strong and long-lasting product. a long-term tool The only way to find out is to wait. Because the tines were directly cast into the head, there was some slight overcasting of metal up onto a couple of the tines, which is my only minor criticism. I just wanted to make sure none of it was peeling off into my ice, so I used a sharp utility knife and a small file to remove it. Otherwise, the quality of the casting is excellent; Burrs and seams are not present. There's no plating flaking off or corroding beneath the metal. br>br>Shipping from Fradon Lock was excellent and quick, even beating my Amazon Prime 2-day delivery. Due to USPS arriving at my office before UPS, the shipment was delayed by a few hours.

Great
5/5

I looked into a number of different ice picks before settling on this one, and I'm glad I did. Handle is very easy to use and has a good grip. It's razor sharp! It's a cinch to use. The only thing I wish was different about it is the cover, which is just cardboard. I'd prefer something more durable, especially since it's so sharp.

Chopper is fantastic
5/5

This is fantastic! It took about an hour to chop 15 lbs of chocolate. My only stumbling block is that the package does not specify whether or not it is dishwasher safe. I washed it by hand and hung it to dry. For chocolate, it's a good chopper. I bought two to have on hand, as well as a point protector to keep them safe from cuts.

This tool is required if you own a block of chocolate
5/5

I occasionally use large blocks of chocolate in my cooking. I used to chip off bits with a knife, but it wasn't very effective, so I went on the hunt for a more effective tool. It's all over now. It has a razor-sharp edge and is extremely durable. I like that the handle isn't made of wood, so I can wash it. It easily chips away at chocolate chunks, but be sure to place something hard beneath the chocolate because it is sharp enough to pierce a counter top.

Solid and heavy-duty, with no rust even after years of use
5/5

We had a problem with our ice machine's ice forming solid blocks, and this thing is AMAZING at breaking them up with ease. I've been using it on a daily basis for months and it's been great. It's sturdy and hasn't rusted. Also worked great for breaking up unsweetened chocolate blocks. It's great for breaking up frozen milk jugs.

Breaking chocolate is a breeze! This was purchased to help break up a 20-minute meeting
5/5

Callebaut chocolate slab, weighing 1 pound For the job, this is the ideal tool. The times are sharp enough to pierce a flexible cutting board; this isn't an issue for me because I double-check everything. that board was layered on top of a wooden one Have fun!.
