It is made of carbon
The blade edge is at least 1/32" from the double bevel, but next to that is about 1/32. In theory, you could change the ratio of the blade if you had the skill to do so

The Chinese Vegetable Cleaver is a nice traditional piece. We arrived at a very precise time. It appears that the steel is more like a stainless steel than a carbon one at this stage. It is very comfortable to hold and use, and because of its balanced design, feels relatively light. There is no slipping on the handle, since it is covered by lacquer. My opinion is that the contoured handle offers greater security than other This is a good purchase for me.
A product as cheap as this shouldn't be a cause for complaint, but you should always know what you're buying. The first thing I noticed was that this knife is a hefty one, but I don't know whether it's the type of metal it's made of or what, but it's extremely prone to getting nicked While it's razor sharp, it's not difficult to handle. A lot of it rusts as well. I started noticing little brown spots on the blade after my second use, so yeah, it must have been something. A little knife like this would be handy to hold on to for a while, but it's not going to last. Although it is a versatile knife, it is also extremely durable. I will buy a better model of this type of coffee maker.
The ones I saw used by Chinese cooks were pretty expensive. I'd like to try one but I kept seeing them used by Chinese cooks. In the end, I chose this lower cost cleaver, and I am so glad I did! It's the only knife I use more in my kitchen than any other!.
There is a tight grip on the handle and a sharp blade. Keep it dry if it is sitting in water or has food caked on it. You can use this knife for several years if you wash it by hand (no dishwasher) and then dry it right after use.
It's sharp, and I use it a lot.
The Vegetable Cleaver that I bought was a good purchase. The meat cleaver is heavy enough that it can be used in the same way as a hefty, well balanced knife.
This product is very useful for chopping vegetables, since it makes the task much.
With a regular knife you cannot achieve the same level of control.
