Handles made of walnut, unusually hard and durable (natural colors may differ). High-carbon stainless steel is hardened and tempered steel is tempered. The ferrule is made of brass.
It has 12 inches in height and 12 inches in width. The dimensions are 25" long by 4" wide. The size of the frame is 5"H by 1". The blade measures 8 inches long, weighs 7 pounds, and is 25 inches wide. One pound and 45 ounces.
Unlike other kitchen tools, walnut kitchen tools cannot be put in the dishwasher. I suggest you rinse the item with warm soapy water, wash and dry with a soft cloth, and then store it. During the winter, applying a light coat of mineral oil to your walnut handles every few months will keep them looking good.

What is the place it is ?

There are two in my possession. The older one says This product is made in the United States. There was a newer one that said (Lamson, Stainless Steel) The calligraphy above the trade name on the two knives is different between them, and there you have it. LAMSON, WESTFIELD, MA, USA, (33060) also. A more expensive knife would not be as good as the older knife.

This knife is beautifully made and has a sturdy feel to it. This knife has quickly become my favorite! The cuts are smooth and straight, and the size and shape of its blade make it a handy tool for scooping up chopped vegetables from the cutting board and putting them in My recommendation is that you really ought to get this knife, especially if you chop a lot of vegetables!.

Despite the minor difficulties I encountered, I am generally pleased with this knife. It was the only major knife type I had not yet acquired, and I really enjoy using it for cutting carrots, celery, and other "short" vegetables (excluding If I use it for too long, I get really bad callouses on the side of my index finger. However, I do like its heft and balance, and the fact that you can scoop up your vegetables all at once to put them in a Only a limited amount of edge retention occurs I have to sharpen it regularly, and so far I have only sharpened it once with my diamond sharpener. I would buy from them.

had a loose handle problem over time (I have 2 of them). I jammed a few shims into them and now they work like a charm. There is one, which is 12 years old but does not have any chips on the edge, which I use. The cleaver is specifically for cutting vegetables, not meat or all-purpose knives. I don't think I can chop bones with it because it's lightweight and full size. For that, you should get yourself a Dexter.

The second type of LamsonSharp Chinese Knife I have is great, I love it, the first chopping logs with my grandson totally destroyed With them, cutting meat on the cutting board is so easy I even cut the meat with them

It is very easy to sharpen, easy to quickly slice or chop vegetables, and it is very easy to slide the knife under the cut vegetables and carry them to the In my opinion, the Chinese vegetable knife is more convenient to use than Japanese vegetable knives because the Chinese knife has a much larger blade, which makes it much easier to handle. It is not heavy even though the knife has a large blade. Be sure to keep the blade sharp and coat it in olive oil. A quality item you will enjoy for a long time to come. The first time I used my Chinese vegetable cleaver to cut frozen chicken, I broke it.
