Questions & Answers

Could you please confirm the overall length of the article? To ensure it fits in my drawer divider that has a knife block built-in, I need to know its size. Thanks a lot! ?

A great knife! The total length includes the handle, which is 14 3/4 inches. Your drawer divider should be able to hold it.

The box has a manufacturer's mark that might be for Forschner or Victorinox. My sincere thanks. ?

Please accept my apology for the delay. Victorinox, Swiss Made 5 is the name that appears on the package.

I want to understand the difference between the 40040 and 47040 models. Is it possible that both appear to be identical, but they cost almost double?

Rosewood handle model is the one I have. What may be different between the two is unknown to me. For information about the parent company, please go to http//www. It's called Victorianoxusa. Customers can reach them through their excellent customer service and they are better able to answer Thank you for your help.

Can you tell me what the angle of this blade is?

The angle really has little bearing either on cutting ability or sharpening because it's a serrated edge.

It has been a lie
5/5

I have the best bread knife. I have owned several bread knives and this one is by far the best. My other bread knife doesn't cut through the bread that I make about twice a week. There are a lot of very small and sharp teeth on the blade. The blade cuts through crusty bread AND through light and airy bread without compromising the structure of Despite its length and lightness, the blade is quite long. This handle is made of rosewood, and it's I'm not sure what kind of person would put a knife in a dishwasher or not immediately dry a knife after hand washing it. To care for your knives, including this one, please hand wash and dry them. This is a purchase you will not regret.

A great knife
5/5

I purchased it to replace one I had purchased when I worked as a cook in a commercial kitchen a couple of decades ago and used it to cut fillets off of The knife has been my all-time favorite and I have used it extensively for many proteins over the last 3 decades (not only The serrations on my old knife had worn down to the point where I finally had to replace it. There is no change in quality between this and the previous knife. It only has one downside the protective sleeve that came with the original. As the blades of the knives are VERY sharp, I'll just have to be careful when reaching into the drawer.

This is a wonderful upgrade from a previously outdated one An excerpt from its After five years of battling with a Henkels 7 inch blade, it was a complete joy to use this for the first time! Due to the extra 3+ inches on this knife, it was a pleasure to slice bread This knife has a convenient handle and a razor-sharp blade
5/5

The experience was more than I could have hoped for I thought this was a very reasonable price as well.

The ideal knife has the following features An edge that is sharp
5/5

Knives from Victorinox have a sharp edge and stay sharp for a long time. The products are made in Switzerland. Rosewood handles are a nice touch, but they cannot be left in water for long periods of time. I highly recommend this product for the price.

I like it! It is a very sharp knife
4/5

In fact, it is so long that care must be taken not to cut into the bamboo guide. A single drawback is that the edge is sharpened only on one side (the right) of the cut, which weakens the edge and causes it In fact, the opposite side is flat and sharp, causing it to easily dig into and cut the bamboo guide. However, once you become accustomed to it and compensate for the bias, it cuts just fine!.

That's a really good knife
4/5

There are no better knives than those made by Victorinox. The first knife I ordered was the Dalstrong Gladiator Series Bread Knife, which cost much Dalstrong was also a great knife. It felt more substantial and could easily cut through hard crusted bread, but it didn't operate as well as It ended up being easier for me to hold the Victorinox with the Firbrox handle because it felt less slippery in my hand, despite looking more attractive.

This is a very good knife
4/5

Victoria knives are all excellent for their intended use, as is true for the blade. Despite the knife's great performance, I have rated it only 4 because the grip is not large enough for me, particularly when I am wearing gloves. The Fibrox grip would have interfered with the walnut grip I have on all my knives, thus I opted not to order it. In contrast to those slim grips, my grips are much wider, which is particularly important when you have a blade this wide. There would be no difference in the taste of one or two slices. However, when you bake four or five dozen loaves at once you will notice a big difference.

Ensure your safety

The blades are very safe as they are connected to the handle. Take a look at the pics and compare others like it.
