A bread knife that I thought worked well already existed in my kitchen. As a result of its breakage, I decided to get this one since the price was right and Cook's Illustrated has never let me down. Though I have been devoted to my old Victorinox chef's knife for a long time, I really wasn't expecting much improvement over this new The very first cut I made with this knife was like a revelation for me. With this knife, I do not see any cuts on my bread any more, which is a very good thing since I make my own bread. Maintaining uniform slices is now much easier with this knife. Knife of exceptional quality.
I have purchased this brand before and was happy with the quality. When I last bought a knife, it was a serrated bread knife that ended up getting Sliced bread and roasted meat were some of the things we did with it. Replacement of this blade was supposed to be simple. Aside from the fact that this replacement isn't quite as wide, it is otherwise the same. I have left the original unchanged. While it seems like this knife would work, if you are looking for a traditional bread knife with a wider blade, you should look.
It's more than long enough for us and it works great!.
As a result of using it frequently, I often have to run it over my honing steel in order to keep it at its optimal sharpness. Thinly slices tomatoes in a transparent manner. The only complaint I have is that it is a bit too short for my bamboo Due to the fact that it hits the wall guides, I have to make short cutting motions with it. My only wish now is to buy a longer one.
As for bread knives, I have never been able to find a good one - only the ones that come with Walmart knife sets. The bread was constantly torn up by the heavy appliances, etc. I hated how the bread would get so tattered. That is to say, You might know it as a bread knife. It should be able to cut bread, shouldn't it? As a result of those experiences, when I got a 'good' knife set, I never felt the need to purchase a bread knife. Several of my bread recipes require a lot of yeast, so I got tired of my regular 8- ounce container of yeast I had to squish my bread down with 10" knives to cut it. There are many reviews of bread knives on Amazon and I decided on this little beauty after reading lots of them. I cannot even begin to express how pleased I am with this knife. It is so light and easy to handle, so even if you're cutting a lot, it doesn't cause hand discomfort and fatigue. Its serrated blade is flexible enough not to damage soft bread, but it has enough cutting power to slice through crusty bread effortlessly. I've also used it to cut through tomatoes because it came in handy when I was making a breakfast scramble. Sandwich made with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. A consistent, smooth cut without any tearing or squishing of the tomato allowed this to happen. I have owned numerous knives, but this is by far the best.

If you are unfamiliar, you should wash it (and any good knife) promptly after use and immediately dry it with a clean, soft cloth afterward. You should not put it in the dishwasher or leave it around with food bits on Even if you can't hand wash it right away, you can at least rinse it under hot water, dry it with a towel, and set it aside in a dry place The well-balanced blade of this knife does the job, regardless of whether it is used for soft or hard foods. You get quite a bit of quality for your money, especially with the more you pay, especially when you think about the higher price. I'd rather- I would recommend this product because of its reasonable price.
As a beginner, I was skeptical of buying a knife like this. I didn't think it would make that much of a This was a mistake on my part. This knife is a miracle to me since I bake my own bread. Cutting the loaf with this method does not squish the bread and allows for very thin slicing if you want it. My favorite part of it is the music.
Victorinox (formerly Forschner) bread knives are perfect for slicing through hard crusts and thick sandwiches. Their large blades are also great in cutting fruits and vegetables, such as tomatoes, without cutting them in half. The ergonomic Fibrox handle is easy to hold and has the right weight to make this knife comfortable to hold. Although this knife is dishwasher safe, I personally do not use the dishwasher with my best knives. My J knife was damaged and I bought this to replace it. This knife is far superior to the Henckles Bread Knife!.
