Questions & Answers

It is made in Japan, right?

The idea of this doesn't occur to me- Knowing it works so well is all you need to know. I even use it to cut bread for my kids because it is so easy to use.

How much is the sheath for this knife?

You will find that the sheath fits very well. Knife of a very high standard.

When it comes to the blade length, how long is it?

Around 13 inches is the overall length of the knife. This knife has a blade portion of about 5" and a head portion of about 8". This is "5". My wife and I make a lot of bread at home, and I've used this knife way more than I anticipated. There will be no disappointment for you!

Can you tell me how soft the bread is?

Knives like this one are perfect for almost everything. Bread can be easily sliced with this cutter.

This piece of professional kitchen equipment is perfect for working with bread
5/5

With over ten years of experience working in various kitchens serving many different types of food, I have worked in a wide variety of settings. The pros are Please note that A relatively inexpensive option Serrated knives are excellent for working on a wide variety of jobs, but are hard Since I don't want to take the time to sharpen an expensive knife, I just buy an inexpensive one, use it until it's toast, and Please note that The situation is relatively good- This was created It's a noticeably better build and material quality than the cheap knives I've used in the past (Dexter, Mundial, etc. ). plastic and it's partially tanged, both of which might stand in the way of its use in the professional cooking world. However, I'm pleasantly surprised and think it exceeds expectations for a product at There is neither too much plastic nor a cheap feel to it, and I have never had a problem with the sheath. For well over a year, I have been using my current knife daily and it has remained sharp, which indicates it is made of good Please note that The design is very clever really cool. I'm not really sure if it makes any difference in cutting performance, but I guess it probably doesn't hurt. Its thin blade profile reduces weight and makes it very maneuverable. This sheath has wide slats which allow the blade to dry off if it happens to be a little wet when you put it away, which works to keep rust spots at bay. As for the sheath, it stays attached with friction from a plastic clip, and I have never had any problems with it, but I do imagine it would be fairly useless if the clip somehow broke. Those cons are Please note that The goofiest thing I've ever seen- This knife is bright orange and looks like an Ikea knife, and many of my co-workers have commented that it appears like a toy. They then use it and decide to buy In terms of aesthetics, there are no absolutes. Please note that If you're putting the knife back in the sheath, be very careful not to damage it- You're more likely to cut yourself if you're putting it away too quickly. The opening for the sheath is very small, so it's easy to forget to close it. As such, it's not really a design flaw, but rather a potential area of error for a user. The average home cook will almost never have to replace this item once they buy it.

It can be used to cut tomatoes and peel The knife is a bread knife, but in the winter it works really well for cutting tomatoes and peeling oranges

Ideally, you should have bread with your meal.

The bread and produce don't get damaged by this neon orange liquid! For many years, the use of substandard materials was all that was available Because I did not have a designated bread knife for Thanksgiving dinner and did not have par knives, I finally purchased a bread knife to prepare for When I first saw this knife online, I was a bit skeptical because the vibrant orange color seemed a bit odd I will put
5/5

My final decision was based on more than just my superficial judgment, and I'm glad I did not let that sway my I ran my first test just minutes after removing the package from the washer and washing. Using this bread cutter, I was able to slice crusty French bread fresh from the oven without the unpleasant "squish". It takes a little while to adjust to the plastic sheath and make sure it does what it should. This knife seems to be durable, so I hope it will endure the test of.

The bread knife is better than the Kyocera ceramic I had broken
5/5

To this point, I have really enjoyed using this metal bread knife. As it has a relatively aggressive cutting profile, you need to be mindful of how it tracks through bread or rolls. Update over the course of several months As of now, this knife has held a sharp edge without losing any sharpness. It does seem that this knife is a bit to one side, as I wrote in my original remarks. This knife does not cut perfectly straight, like my ceramic bread knife does. That would be the only minor criticism I would give it.

Value for money of a super duper kind! The knife is awesome I think this is a great price
5/5

(They were gifts) I have some very expensive (German) bread knives but this one tops them all. I am not able to cut bread well with my German knives because they tend to tear the softer parts of the loaf. It cuts through a crispy crust and still leaves crumbs on the bread after it is cut. As well as scoring dough prior to baking, I have found that the more gentle serrations in this knife are effective. In contrast to my other serrated knives, these knives do not seem to "catch" on the dough. Upon receiving the knife, I noticed it has a very small bow to the blade. This is the only issue I have with the knife. In spite of the blade having a lot of spring to it, I was still able to straighten it out by working out the bend. The entire process of correcting this took me probably less than five minutes. Furthermore, I would like to add that in the past month, this knife has probably been my most used one in the kitchen (it has been perfect for cutting large tomatoes into slices).

The colorful design may seem fun, but do not be fooled
5/5

Even after five years, this knife is still extremely sharp! Even after frequent use for over 5 years, this knife is still very sharp. I would highly recommend! All types of bread are easily cut with this knife, even dense, crusty bread from a There is a good deal of comfort in the handle. Although it does not have the weight of a traditional knife, the handle is comfortable, and it does not feel flimsy. Clean up is so easy with this If you would rather hand wash, put the dish in the dishwasher (although the manufacturer recommends it). I originally purchased this (as well as a nearly complete set of pure Komachi knives) as a way to keep my husband from using my precious knives when he was making sandwiches, etc. and as I wanted inexpensive knives that I could run through the dishwasher with no guilt In the end, I have come to love "his" knives so much, that I have begun using them myself! These knives are very sharp, and my husband called them "kiddie knives," owing to their pretty colors, but you should be careful with them because they are small and pretty I cut myself so badly with the purple sandwich knife that a Band-aid was inadequate, and no Band-aid would do. So I had to use If you intend to use this knife like any super-knife, make sure you treat it well The knife is particularly sharp, since it is just as sharp as the knife I use in my job I would not mind having this knife, especially since it comes in a fun colour and is not too expensive.
