I can testify to the fact that this knife is terrifyingly sharp from the lightest touch with one of my fingers. It is very important that you take care with this knife. It does not appear to have a warranty.
A handle adds almost 15 and a half inches to the overall length of the tool. There are a few extra grits on the blade. In my opinion, it is one of the best bread knives

First, I would like to state that I have never been paid or received any discounts, products, etc. in exchange for a good review. I don't have the experience of a professional chef, so the articles are written exclusively for us. When I went to check out the DALSTRONG Gladiator series knife, I was blown away by its weight and balance. I use this knife when I bake bread and I needed a good bread knife. The chair is a very comfortable one. It fit my hand perfectly as if it had been made for me by a custom maker. I finally had a chance to use my bread maker today when I baked A few days ago I made two loaves of artisan bread- There was a nice crisp chewy crust-the knife glided through it without a problem. I made slices of bread that ranged from ultra thin to very thick with surprisingly little effort. I found everything I was looking for in this knife. Insistence on my sister trying this knife from me, because she is an excellent cook. She liked the feel of the knife in her hand, and she liked the way the bread was cut with it. Her assessment of me was that I would be a very good fit. The knife exceeded all my needs in every way, so I give it a 5 star rating. In addition to sending an email to ensure I received the knife and to answer any questions I had, DALSTRONG also called me. I would recommend this knife to anyone who is searching for one. What's your take on the knife? I don't hesitate at all. Is this company one I'd consider purchasing from My new chefs knife has broken so I need to buy a new one. DALSTRONG is the best choice for me. This was one of my best Amazon purchases.
As a matter of fact, I will be one of the only ones who was totally disappointed in this knife. I bake large loaves of bread with crunchy crusts, baked with the finest ingredients. Having read reviews of the Dalstrong, I believed that this could be the knife I needed to handle these loaves. Although the knife got stuck in the crust, it did more damage to the bread and couldn't penetrate the bottom crust. Also, after trying 3 slices there were visible scratches on the knife and a weird smear (like an oil slick) that was impossible to remove. Obviously, I had washed the knife before using it, and I had used a wooden cutting board when cutting.
I think that reviews on other sites give a better picture of this knife's performance than those on Amazon. Along with the knife, they also include a bunch of marketing material and promotional samples of the materials and finishes. They even include a stupid lapel pin as well. According to one review, "I wish they would spend as much money on blades as they do on finishes and marketing". You're absolutely right.
I am sending it back and am ordering America's Test Kitchen Favorite, the Mercer Culinary Millenial 10" bread knife, which is a third of the price. I doubt that a lapel pin will be included.
We eat and bake a lot of bread, and our old bread knife had done us well, but had reached its end of its useful life. Following some research online, we decided to replace the old knife with the Dalstrong Bread Knife. Buying a product that we love from a higher price point might seem a bit weird, but we never miss a chance to spend more to get something that we truly enjoy. This knife is amazing . I was a little surprised at first at its weight - but after using it a couple of times I was able to get used to it. The bread knife is quite large Having no idea if it would be heavy, I wondered if handling it might be difficult. As soon as I had set the knife on the bread and started cutting, the knife took over, and any resistance I thought might occur evaporated as the blade glided through the crust of the bread. In order to test the knife's precision, I cut a piece of cheese that was less than 2 millimeters thick, evenly thick throughout the entire piece, with no tears, and barely a crumb on it. In our opinion, this is a great bread knife, and if you must cut your own bread, and are curious about what a quality bread knife should do, we recommend it.
His area of expertise is in the culinary industry and he has multiple knives of various brands that he has used countless times over the 25 years. His favorite, however, is a bread knife. Small hands and a small body define me as a woman. You can use this knife with ease since it is quite lightweight! I love how sharp it is and how it slices bread as if it were soft butter. Our testers have even sliced up a couple soft tomatoes with this and oh my gosh! The tomato slices were very thin, I am not very good at cutting tomatoes, and I was able to do this perfectly! My husband looked at me, "you do realize I bought this more for myself than you, right?" I then said, "Yes. " they just had that kind of conversation. I guess maybe he's the chef and I don't enjoy being in the kitchen too much (he's the main chef in the family). In addition to this, he wants to see what other knives are out there that he can add to his This is a great knife!.
I was very impressed with the packaging of the knife - it was truly beautiful. This is similar to what Apple does. I especially liked the knife because it was so I tested the Dalstrong on a loaf of fresh-baked sourdough bread (which is quite challenging) and this is the outcome. There was disappointment in it. The knife was very sharp, but it cut only marginally better than our 20+ year old $12 bread knife. I believe the problem is that the knife is just too thick - if it cuts any better than our 12 year old $12 bread knife, then I'm out of luck. A 10" screen. The width of that item is a tenth of an inch. As if they designed a bread knife for cutting Compared to our new knife, our old one is only I've observed that it goes through bread more easily than 6") It won't matter if the blade isn't razor sharp. Our bottom line is that it was returned and would not be recommended.
Standard UPS brought the knife to me in four days. As beautiful as its images suggest, the knife actually is. Bread knives do more than just cut bread they do other tasks as well, such as chopping nuts, pieces of fruit, etc. This bread knife is well balanced and of high quality. It does its job with ease when the task is asked of it. is easy to clean, but you will find a piece of your finger in the sink if you're not careful. As a result, the included hard plastic sheath is shaped like the knife blade itself, is very lightweight, and does not add ungainly bulk to the knife when it's fully contained or cause the knife to tip when fully sheathed. The knife will click into the sheath a little after sheathing to ensure that it is fully seated. It's both an indication of quality and the correct design that it will not fall out of the sheath, even if it's dropped (I tested it for that) so you won't have to worry if you reach into the drawer for something else and the knife comes loose. For those who want high quality at a very reasonable price, this knife is a great acquisition.
