You may already know the answer, but this thing is a beast! It is extremely sharp, and my wife refuses to touch it because of it. I only used it on a chicken bone while spatchcocking a whole chicken, and it was as if it didn't exist. This knife has completely blown me away, and it has far exceeded my expectations for a knife in this price range.
Without a doubt! I use it as a butcher's knife to cut thick cuts of meat, raw steaks, and raw meats. It does the job perfectly.

It has a fantastic appearance and is razor-sharp. You don't have to fear the knife, but you should respect it, particularly when washing it, as I told my wife. If you rush through washing this beast, you'll end up with nubs, a mutilated sponge, or both. This thing eats potatoes, onions, carrots, tomatoes, and other vegetables like they're nothing. It would be better if it had a full tang and a scalloped blade. Aside from that, everything else about this knife is perfect, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE SHARPNESS OF THIS KNIFE, I repeat, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE SHARPNESS OF THIS KNIFE.
Sharpening it to a finer edge is simple. It grows on me as I use it more.
