Although the blade is still sharp, the blade now has a strange rainbow sheen and the handle is permanently stained My friend only gave it to me a week ago, and it looks like it belonged to the produce worker at Whole Foods. Everything but hard root vegetables can be cut with it. It's sharp and can handle most work. You shouldn't try to cut anything hard, or try to cut through the rind of a melon. In the past, I could have found something comparable for less money at Walmart.

I am using my first knife of this size that follows curves on fruit and allows me to cut close to the organic shape. The method worked well for tomatoes, too. An interesting feature of the squared ends is that they are squared off. Some applications have made use of this technology. All of my Dexter knives are well made and I enjoy them all. There is no reason to give this product five stars except for the fact that the handle of the knife can be uncomfortable after prolonged use on something hard. As well as mixing up sharp and unsharp edges, I sometimes mix up sharp and flat sides.

The knife is awesome. I cannot say enough good about it. At first, I was skeptical, as the appearance of the knife was different from the regular ones.
