I'm sorry, but I feel compelled to inform you. It's the first time I've ever used it for hard boiled eggs. I'm talking about making Starbucks-style sous vide eggs in my Instapot with the molds. They also suit my needs perfectly. But, if you want hard boiled eggs, ask for them.
Yes, everything is made out of silicone: The mold is opaque colored silicone, with a clear/translucent lid.
Unfortunately, not at the present time.
It can be used because water boils at 212°F and this can withstand 450°F.

I've made egg bites using the Sous Vide method, and they're delicious. However, I wanted to see if I could make some in the Instant Pot to save time. So I bought this mold after seeing it recommended on a website I frequent, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I used the following recipe: br>br> 7 cooked pork link sausages, cut into thirds and placed in each cup in three pieces
4 eggs, 1/2 cup grated swiss/gruyere cheese and 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder;
4 eggs, s All of the ingredients were combined in a blender and liquefied before being divided among the mold's seven compartments. br>br>1- br>br>br>br>br>br>b 1/2 cup water in Instant Pot, mold on top of cover, trivet in Instant Pot, and mold on top of trivet br>br>Cooked on high for 5 minutes with a 5-minute rest. When you're finished, wait a minute before releasing the pressure. br>br>The end result was firm egg bites that were delicious, low in calories, and even lower in carbs. YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM.
I had previously purchased another brand of silicone cups that worked well and were made in the United States, but the tops were plastic. When making sous vide egg bite recipes, this made it impossible to use the tops. When it came to placing the cups in the sous vide bags and removing the air, I had to be very careful. When I lowered the cups into the water bath, there was bound to be some spillage in the bags. This was a fantastic solution to the problem! Hint - my egg bites turn out perfectly. Always spray the inside of the silicone cups with a mist of olive oil (or your preferred oil) before filling with your sous vide or steaming ingredients. This step makes it possible for the fore items to glide out as easily as silk. Hand wash these cups, as well as any other silicone cookware, in hot water with mild dish soap. Use no harsh bleaches or other harsh chemicals on them. Do not, under any circumstances, put them in the dishwasher. Any silicone cooking utensil's sealed surface will be broken down by dishwasher detergent's chemicals. That's why some customers have complained about silicone spatulas having a dull surface. Yes, silicone items can absorb odors, particularly spicy ones. The best way to deal with this is to set aside one cup mold and lid for such recipes (mark with a sharpie). I did this by ring color in my Instant Pot silicone rings. Silicone spatulas/spoonulas are the same way - by color. Keeping track of things in this manner is simple. Spicy foods are those that are red or orange in color. Green is the color of vegetables. Blue is the color of eggs. Rice + clear cakes.
This egg bite mold is perfect for my Instant Pot! Other cups/molds have been used, but none are as simple and convenient as this one! I like how it has its own trivet bottom, so there's no need to put another trivet in the pot to keep the mold in place. It was easy to put it in and take it out of my Instant Pot thanks to the handle. I lightly sprayed cooking oil onto the mold. The egg bites literally popped out of their shells! This is an excellent item.
Make a batch, pressure cook them, clean up is a breeze, and you're finished! Here are some suggestions: br>Spray Pam (or another nonstick spray) on the mold. br>I start with the "goodies," such as ham, bacon, or cheese, and then pour in the beaten eggs. br>If you fill each cup more than 3/4 full, you'll end up with a mess to clean up. br>I discovered what worked best for me after a lot of trial and error: br>Pressure cook 6 medium-sized eggs for 5 minutes, then let sit for another 5 minutes before quick-releasing. I air fry them for three minutes because I prefer it and because the Foodie allows it. The time is 4 minutes. As a result, the texture is more crisp. br>I'm thinking about getting a second one so I can make two batches at once, but I'm not sure if that will work.
I rubbed a little cooking oil into each of the pods the second time, and the egg bites came out easily. br>I now have two of these and recently used one to make a double batch of egg bites, which I will freeze and thaw as needed. In the 6 quart Instant Pot, without the trivet, they stack on top of each other. This comes with a built-in trivet, so you won't need one.
The fact that you can use the silicone lid while making egg bites in the Instant Pot (it will rise with the egg bites), that it has a built-in lifter handle, that it has a built-in trivet, and that the wells are slightly larger than my other brands sold me on it. Also, my egg bites come out of the mold easily without the use of oil because I use cream cheese and colby jack cheese, which adds fat for easy release. Adding tomatillos salsa verde to your recipe is also a good idea. delectable! So it's a win-win situation in my opinion.
I was looking for an egg bite mold that I could use in my instant pot. I already own a Salbree microwave popcorn bowl and adore it, so I knew these had to be just as good. I like how sturdy the base is, as it makes stacking them in my 6 Quart instant pot much easier. After they've been cooked, the handles make it simple to remove them. It worked well for me, and I was able to make my egg white bites in under 10 minutes on low pressure. I like how light and airy they are, so it works for me. They are definitely worth the money. br>br>.
To get the best results from the molds, grease them with butter or oil. They're also very easy to clean.
