A wide mouth jar will measure just shy of 3 inches on the inside edge, and it will be about 3 inches on the outside edge. You should be able to get by with a standard wide mouth, if that's what you are measuring.
The description of the item states this. Designed to fit Mason jars with a wide mouth. Compatibility with Ball jars as well. According to the opening on the 64 oz jar, it could take from 30 to 45 minutes.
A sink brush and dish soap are all I need to clean them. It's been a while since I bought mine, but they seem to be holding up It's an amazing feeling when you're around
These jars fit wide mouth Ball jars, Kerr jars, and probably any other conventional canning jar with a wide mouth. Jars like pickle jars, mayonnaise jars, etc. will not fit.

To replace the plastic sprouting container I had been using, I got these. I'm impressed with how well they work! A one quart wide mouth Ball jar filled with sprouts in three to four days after adding two tablespoons of mixture of radish, broccoli, and alfalfa seeds.
While leaning is more efficient, I don't have cabinets around the house so when I use these I knock the sprouts to the side, to get them to stick to the glass before setting the jar upright. As long as sprouts are not blocking the hole, plenty of air will get to them. Due to the "legs" of the lid, there is a nice gap at the bottom of the jar, but there is no point in getting air under there if the lid is completely blocked by sprouts. A sturdy plastic and screen structure makes for a great looking screen. These lids hold up well to scrubbing, and, in use, they won't stick or rust to the jar like metal lids This is one of the best lids I have ever owned.
This is what I ordered to replace my first sprouting lids (the first ones were made of "rust-proof" stainless steel, but they Although they work great, they are a bit on the pricey side. I like the versatility, having the option to drain in the vertical position or at an angle, which is the most common method. Not only does it appear to be rust free, there is no sign of rust anywhere on the unit. There are a lot of references to rust in this post. In order to make sure I am The metal on these does not rust . )"fbr>"fbr>"Never Stop Sproutin.
This lid has a minimalistic design that I really like. You will not be obstructed by bulky racks. All I need are the lids. Following a thorough rinse, I tap the seeds against the side of the jar to allow them to adhere and then leave them alone until the next wash. The sprouts will not grow as well if you don't do that.
I make a batch overnight, transfer the yogurt to a wide mouth mason jar, attach the lid to the mason jar with a piece of straining cloth or a coffee filter and let it drain in the fridge. Within a few hours, I had a wonderfully thick Greek yogurt. This straining method was much easier than any other method I have used, and there was no worry about the coffee filter breaking since it is supported by this mesh Additionally, I use this to top a jar of kombucha to hold the coffee filter in place without the need for rubber bands. It serves the same purpose as the rubber bands. There is a real ease to cleaning them, and I really like them.
They are very effective at stopping fruit flies from getting into them! I was very excited to use them for the very first time. They seem like a great product to have. Unfortunately if they let bugs in they won't work very well. To prevent rust on the mesh, I will place a dishcloth atop the colander.
I observed many other screening lids as well. Yet, I read the reviews and discovered that many lid's threads are hard to screw in and I sure didn't want those with little nibs that make the task more difficult. I love how satisfying it is to have plastic lids with stainless screening. Currently, I am taking steps to sprout my seeds A little shaking and the water will drain out easily. The shoes are wonderful. Thanks for selling them to me.
Well-built and easy to screw on and off wide-mouth jars, they are durable. Small seeds will not be lost in the mesh since it is the right size to drain the water. In addition to the feet, the head also helps You could use a cloth and a rubber band instead, but in my experience, this is worth the investment if you make a lot of sprouts. I did Alfalfa seeds and they worked flawlessly.
