The strawberries I put in the Ball jar with these lids and a gasket have been macerating in liquid for a while. Putting the jar on its side, I began to fill it with berries. As a result, the leak happened. I was glad I had placed it in a pan in case it exploded.
There is a thin silicone gasket that fits into the plastic lid channel, enhancing the seal where the rim of the glass jar meets the You just need to press all parts of the lid into one piece. The Lids do not have the two-pierce flat disc/ring system. Rather, they are similar to peanut butter lids.

". It hasn't been my first time purchasing white storage caps for my canning jars. These were used all the time. I noticed right away that the caps were thinner and lighter than those I had previously bought, and there were silicone washers as well, which I had never seen before. I now have to keep different caps since they're different thus I can't just grab a plastic cap when I need one. If you are washing, make sure to remove the silicone ring. What is the reason for not disclosing this information? Although I do not know if these are better or worse, one thing I do know is that the customer needs to be informed.
It seemed at first that I would not like these lids. It could not stay in place when you removed the top because the silicone rings fit inside the lid's groove and would slide out. As much as I loved that they were leak proof, I can't stand the fact that I had to always put the ring back in every time I used them. I have thoroughly cleaned them in Oxiclean and air dried them. My morning started with drying the pieces well, then I used Loctite glue to brush glue into the ring channel in the lid, and then I placed the silicone ring onto it. My chopsticks were too short for me to push around the silicone ring, so I used one of their large ends to do it. They now work great, with no leaks, silicone rings that did not fall out of the channel, and there is no food under the rings. I tweaked this a little to get it exactly right.
The lid can be sterilized under pressure. I am using these lids for growing liquid mycelium cultures, and pressure sterilization of them (255°F) is required. Despite the harsh conditions, these lids held up just fine, and they were sealed with silicone. In order not to create any seals which might deform under the torque load of sterilization, make sure the seals are loose during the sterilization process. It works well and is a good price for what you get.
It states in the brochure that silicone rings are already attached to the wrist. It wasn't yet time for me to get my Silicone Rings. I received two sets of seven It looks like there are 16 lids and 14 silicone rings in the picture, not sure who did the counting, but I believe I need two more silicone rings. Could you please help me out with this situation? As of several days ago, I attempted to contact you by email, but never received a.
Each one has been used almost every day and has never leaked. There was no gasket on any of those lids, and none of them has I am not going to get into these. As they arrived, I noticed they had rubber gaskets that fit into a space inside the lid. They looked just like the first ones I purchased. The gaskets on the lids were not even on the lids until I tried them without the gaskets first. They leaked information. attached the lids to a few jars that I had just filled with my morning shake. I inserted the gaskets in the lids and screwed on the lids. The jar did not leak when I shook it like I always do to mix it up. The problem is. As I said, my shake is liquid and as a result, the liquid got inside the gasket and I didn't get to rinse The gasket had to be removed to get the lid cleaned. There is no easy way to remove it and it is a big waste of time, since my other lids did not have a gasket and have I cleaned up in no time. I strongly advise you not to purchase these. You should get the ones with no gaskets unless your time is not worth anything. Is it then. DON'T LET IT GET YOU.
Works perfectly without them. There was a mention that they came with silicone rings for an added seal in the reviews. The fact is, however, that I use them mostly for shaking, so I don't need rings. Therefore, they don't leak at all. Despite the fact that I turn them upside down and place them on their heads. The food I pickle and the shakes I make are my specialties. Ball only makes dark gray lids, and the lids made by Ball are just as well-made and sturdy as those made by Ball. However, you can make your gifts more creative when you use these white lids. In all of my years of using this product, I've never had a problem with leakage. Choosing another bag comes as a result of how happy I am with them. My recommendation for this product is high.
Similar lids had been purchased from a different resource previously and they did not fit well on all brands of canning jars. In addition to the Kerr and Ball jars, I have a variety of other jar brands in the pantry that fit well with these lids. There is a rubber ring that comes with the speakers, but I didn't use it that means I don't know whether they work well. In spite of this, I am thankful they arrived in good condition, considering they were packed very inadequately- There is nothing inside the unpadded envelope except a flimsy box. Fortunately, all the lids were still fine, even though the box inside the envelope collapsed. Overall, I am happy with them, but give them 4 stars because of the poorly packed shipping package.
There is a clumsy process for putting on and taking It can be difficult for them to go on straight and they tend to bind tightly, making removal challenging. The loose gaskets are also difficult to keep tack of and hard to identify if they are It should have been a black, red, or green gasket so that the white groove in the lid could easily be seen. There are a lot of clear spaces in the place that are difficult to see. However, even with all of that, they're nice because they won't rust and they can Although I am not convinced that they are intended for canning. The box is just a collection of plastic jar lids at a ridiculous price.
