Thanks for visiting. There is no way to reuse these Kerr wide mouth canning lids. As a result of the high heat created by the canning process, an airtight seal is formed between the rubber ring and the jar and the food is preserved. From everyone at Lone Star Provisions, thanks for your business.

THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT LIDS TO BUY. Kerr lids such as these are NOT authentic. During the processing of the jars, each of them buckled. This is the first time I've seen such a thing in more than 40 years of canning. This is a cheap knock off. They're a waste of money and will cost you a lot of money.
We ordered these lids, but when we examined them, we found that 36 out of the 72 lids had scratched or thin spots in the white lining. Any foods with liquids would rust or corrode on the damaged lids and spoil, and they cannot be used to can any Beans, rice, and pasta cannot be placed inside - they must be dried before being added to the containers. My intention was not to make use of these in that way. I cannot recommend these lids despite the fact that the boxes were nicely packaged with bubble wrap protecting each one. Despite being a name brand lid, I wasn't satisfied with the quality.
I am disappointed. It wasn't Kerr who was playing with the kids. Just wrapped in plastic, they were not in boxes. There were two types of lids regular and tall. In reality, they were a box of Kerr wide mouth lids that had been opened. It was a terrible experience!.
In my opinion, it was unfortunate that I ordered wide mouth plastic lids, but all were regular mouth / small mouth plastic As well as ordering the regular mouth lids which were really regular mouth lids, I now have over 120 regular mouth lids that are regular. NO lids with wide mouths were available in any of the stores in our surrounding area.
I was able to get my libs back so quickly, which allowed me to finish up my pressure canning and hot water canning and clean out my freezer before the new items were delivered. The cost of each lid was 62 cents. All the other supplies I need are already at home, so this is still more cost effective and better It would be great to do business with them again in the future.
Would you like me to Lots of people) have it. I normally cook with stock or bone broth, depending on my mood. In addition to beans and enchilada sauce, I prepare homemade salsa. No matter what time of year it is, at least once a month. It has been about ten years since I started doing this. I usually brew about 14 or 15 quarts at a time. The knock-on-wood method did not work for me The disappointment of getting 'offs' only to be let down. If you've worked for hours canning, then you go to the pantry and find jars that didn't seal, then it's the end of the world. I have never had a Kerr, or Ball lid fail in all the years I've used them. You don't want to throw away your hard work, so stick with the best. These are the best (and Ball, too).
The ball and kerr and sister company had their winter convention during the winter. There is not yet a full swing in the economy. They themselves are responsible for the shortages. There is a lot of talk on facebook about people hoarding caps and now that they are in high demand they are selling them for twice as much as you would spend.
The lids as advertised were available in boxes of 12 or 72 One box of 12 lids was included in the package with my order of $99 and I received it the next day.
