A person should be prepared to pay $2 at most. There is a price of 99 cents per box of 12. There is a reason why Amazon allows price gouging. Is it true that Wal-Mart has the capability to- For $2, you can buy a box of 12 at Kmart. Does 29 qualify?

At the very least, there is at least a regional shortage given that all of the usual retailers have them on hand, including Wal-Mart Walmart does not have any and has been waiting for supplies to come in for quite some time. My order was delivered by Wal-Mart Amazon.com for $13 -- online shopping with Mart. The price per box is 95 cents. My experience in canning exceeds over 40 years, and I have never paid prices this high would guess it has something to do with what is happening in this country right now.

Can the seal be kept for a long time if it is sealed properly?

If you don't want to waste anything, I wouldn't recommend that you keep things that long. (Jam) I have. My husband doesn't want to throw anything out.

Is it possible for these to ?

Once in a while I have not touched the inside of the house for a long time.

I have quite a variety of branded jars. These lids will fit them all. No matter if you use a regular or wide mouth, you have to match them.

I hope Ball and Kerr will find a way to make more canning lids in order to meet the demand during the Covid pandemic. My mother asks me for canning lids for Christmas every year, but they are too expensive for her to afford.

I thought the price was extremely high

It is extremely overpriced but what can you do given that there is a shortage? There is a supply and demand imbalance and suppliers are benefitting from it. As far as I can tell, the product I received is of good quality and not a knockoff. That I was able to get lids and rings is a great thing.

For canning, it is necessary to have appropriate lids

Intended for use on ball glass jars, these lids fit perfectly. The same glass from which all these ball parts are made was purchased many years ago following an investigation. The lids are from China and are not the proper ones.
