I was trying to figure out where they came from by looking at them. However, I was unable to provide you with a response. These were purchased to go with my Italian Made Glass Gallon Jars. As a result, I'm hoping they're made in Italy as well. They fit my jars perfectly, as the originals had dried out and cracked after ten years of use; these are good gasket replacements, and I would buy them again. I hope this information is useful.

Is it possible to put these in the dishwasher and clean them?

I used the dishwasher to clean mine. They should be able to withstand a lot of wear and tear because they're made of silicone. I'd only put them on the top rack and keep an eye on them over time to make sure the heating element doesn't dry them out.

Would this aid in the tightening of a canister's rubber topper lid?

YES! I bought these to replace all of my canister lids, and they work perfectly and look great. Make sure you get the right size ring for your canisters by measuring the size of the ring you'll need.

I'm so happy I came across them! These canister jars with the locking lid have been in my possession for 43 years

The other original seals were on the verge of crumbling, but then I came across some seals a few years ago that were always sticky and only came in orange. These are white, new, and unscented, with no stickiness or odor. There were no leaks and they fit perfectly. My canister set appears to be in excellent condition. I'll never buy new canisters because I like how well they seal. Now that I've discovered these white seals, I'm confident that my canister set will last another 43 years!.

Although the original gaskets had dried out and flaked, I was able to measure them and locate these replacement gaskets. br>br>Even on 30-year-old jars, they fit perfectly and provide a waterproof and airtight seal. I doubt I'll need to purchase another set for some time, but if I do, I'll do so with these.

The fit is good, but the material is a little thicker

I received these today and was delighted to find that the measurements were accurate and that they fit both of my jars. They're a little thicker than the original seals, which makes closing the metal clasp a little more difficult. I'm hoping that the pressure will cause them to compress slightly, causing this to change. If the need arises, I would place another order.

Silicone gaskets are nice, but they're a little too thick for the old Ball bail jars

These gaskets are very nice. I didn't give them a five-star rating because I intended to use them on old 'Ball' and 'Atlas' bail jars. For this type of jar, these gaskets are far too thick.

I desperately needed new seals and found these on the internet for a reasonable price that were also very simple to install on the canisters. I knew I chose white, but I was thinking "clear" in my head. They are truly white, as you can see, but I'm still happy with the product, and the old ones disintegrated when I removed them lol!.
