The device has been dropped a few times, but so far there are no signs of cracks or breaking. I had to find a different lid for the teapot in order to make it fit. However, it is sturdy
The only real issue I had with it was finding a lid to fit. I cannot move the teapot through the top space because it almost exactly fits within the area that allows air to flow. It works perfectly now since I replaced it with the topper from my old cast-iron base. Please make sure that you do not have the same issue, but it is easily fixed if you have permeable metal lying on top of this instead of It heats well and is tall enough for me to use my refillable paraffin oil wick candles, which has allowed me to reduce the waste I was having with regular tea-light candles. Candles should be lit.
It's really convenient for me to have that candle on the counter when I make herbal tea. The tea stays warm and the candle adds a nice touch.
