The grinder I am using is my first manual one. In general, I don't write reviews or give ratings to products. Had it been a grinder, it would have been perfect. The quality of the craftsmanship should be good. It took maybe ten turns of me using it, or less, for the knob to come off entirely. The gear wouldn't grind when you put it back together. Consult the instruction manual, which does not contain much information. Put it back together using the brush after it had been cleaned by hand. It grinded only a little bit when I put it back together I removed the bottom container and put it back together. Not a thing. The item will be sent back to you.

I am very impressed with the quality for the price. In addition to the impeccable machining and finishing of the grinder, the bearings providing support for the handle are composed of a surprising amount of metal. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I do have a Breville espresso machine with a burr grinder, so I have a little to compare it to. Just as good as the grind on the Breville is the quality of the grind on this model. Creating a crank is a simple process. This is a coarser grind than what I use for espresso, so I use it for pour over. Using my pour over apparatus, it only takes me a minute to grind two batches of coffee. The fact that I am waiting for my kettle to heat up anyways makes it almost cathartic to grind the beans. There is an adjustment knob under the grinding head that is a little tricky. You seem to loosen the screw when you try to adjust it a little finer. It might be worth adding a few You may need to tighten the adjusting screw if it happens again. This little grinder is really good! I'm totally impressed with it!.
