The grinder I had before this one was excellent for chopping up nuts and coffee beans. Comparing these two cannot be done. The grinding process sounds like it will end in failure. The fineness of the grains stops it and it jams completely. Under the cutting blades, you have to stop continuously and move the nuts or the coffee beans out. Prior to this one I had a Cusiniart that lasted a decade. After going back to it, I wrote a new one. In spite of packing this one up after I used it twice, I was unable to locate the box it came in until now. The trip is over, but return is not possible.

It is a tiny kitchen so I bought it thinking I could save space and money by not buying There's a lot I like about this, including its color and its ease of Although, there are no instructions on how to get a precise grind with the tool. There is a lot of variance in the grinding. When you grind the beans and pour them into a container, the beans on the bottom are barely ground at all, but the top of the beans are actually ground to a consistency you can feel. If you're only grinding a tiny amount of beans for one cup of coffee, this may be great. However, if you're grinding a whole pot, this may not be the best option. Having to buy another one with actual grind settings is the only way I can make this work.
