When this product is combined with a tiny, one-time use item, it creates a powerful combination. a French cup- Press- A jar of coffee beans, a jar of Turbinado sugar, a plastic spoon, a jug of water, and a jar of French-pressed coffee beans will fit in the carryall. Vanilla creamer is included, as well as an insulated coffee cup. The ability to adjust the grind is a feature I particularly like: Tighten all the way up and click CCW until you get the grind you're looking for. The grinder has a three-speed motor and a turn handle that easily slips on and off a square-sided crankshaft. sided (! To clean, use a toothbrush. ("Three- "I wonder if it was designed for Klingons?" I exclaimed when I discovered it. ") However, if discovered in a less-than-ideal location, This kit, along with the alcohol fuel burner and flat-bed trailer, is ideal for less-than-comfortable situations, such as being stuck off the road in a blizzard. The right style mini stove could be the key to keeping you alive just long enough to make it through the night.
Why did you buy it? br>I bought this grinder to save time when it came to spice grinding and mixing during meal prep. br>Prior to using this grinder, I used a combination of crucible bowls and salt/pepper shakers from the warehouse club store with built-in grinders. Because there is only one setting on these grinders, I would only get fine and never coarse. br>br>Giftable: br>br>Giftable: br>br>Giftable: br>The Kitcoff manual grinder comes packaged in a tan box with dark brown lettering and font. Because the graphics are professionally decorated, you can send this item as a gift by entering a different address and selecting the gift option at checkout. Contents: br>br> br>The grinder comes in a long, thin black drawstring bag. When I use the grinder at home, I don't see the point in keeping the bag, but if someone wanted to take it camping or on a trip, the bag could be used to store the grinder, turner handle, and toothbrush. br>The toothbrush has bristles on both the left and right sides, as well as a small row of bristles on the top. This brush comes in handy for cleaning the grinding gears and removing chunks. br>br>Function and Operation: br>br> br>I unscrew the bottom of the canister, which holds the ground spices or coffee. The large black star knob controls how fine or coarse the grinding is. br>A transparent window on both the back and front of the bottom shows the amount of spices ground, letting me know when the canister is full. br>br>The handle of this grinder is held in place by a thick and wide black rubber ring with a holster slot. br>The top of the grinder pulls off, and that's where I'd put my pepper kernels or Himalayan rock salt. br>br>The handle has a round knob that's easy to hold and spins as you turn it. This grinder makes the perfect spice rub for my meats before I sous vide or sear them almost ten times faster!.
The setting on this grinder slips every time I use it. I'd like something in the middle range. For a Moka Pot, I need fine ground coffee, but after a few turns of the handle, the setting changes to coarse ground. It's extremely aggravating. This grinder isn't useful for me, and I'll have to get a new one because this one isn't cutting it.
This grinder works well, but the lid and handle don't quite fit together properly. The brush for cleaning was excellent, but the final issue was that the bottom of the grinder failed twice during grinding, resulting in coffee grounds all over the place. I know how to hold it so that doesn't happen, but it's the fit, so I have to hold it from the bottom and rest it against my body for it to work properly, which killed my joy, and I didn't have time to return it, so I'm stuck with a fautily grinder.
I got a bag of whole bean coffee as a Christmas gift and was tired of grinding it myself in a mortar and pestle, so I bought this instead of buying another crappy electric blade grinder that would only last a few months. I didn't want to spend the money on an electric burr grinder, so I decided to try a manual burr. br>br>I've only used it once as of this writing, but it works as advertised and is simple to operate, though I did have some difficulty adjusting the burr at first. It appeared to be stuck closed, but cranking the handle until it popped out solved the problem. After that, I was able to adjust without difficulty, though I still have trouble determining where the clicks are. br>br>Cleaning is simple, and the brush that comes with it is useful. br>br>I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get the grind I wanted from it (I use an aeropress and grind espresso when I buy a bag at the store), but I was able to achieve what I wanted with a reasonable level of consistency. It wasn't even that difficult. Well, it's better than grinding it in a mortar, so there's that. br>br>My only major criticism is that the included manual could be a little more comprehensive, perhaps with some disassembly/assembly diagrams for when it's time for a thorough cleaning, but it appears simple enough that I'll be able to figure it out. br>br>Since this is only day one, take it with a grain of salt. I'll be sure to update this review if anything changes.
This grinder is excellent at what it does. Consistent grind (doesn't loosen while grinding), simple to use, simple to disassemble, and comes with a lovely plastic removable cup for catching ground coffee that can be washed! This is the first grinder I've found to replace my old hand grinder, which I misplaced during a move. I'm not embarrassed to admit that it made me cry. This is a great way to strengthen your arms because it doesn't wobble. So far, I haven't had any negative experiences. It even made it through Amazon's delivery in an undamaged state. Because it was shipped in a padded bag, the box it came in was smashed on all sides. Brush was slightly bent, but the grinder worked perfectly; the brush was still usable, and I have plenty of brushes.
In light of the price, it's exactly what I expected. The only minor criticisms I have are that the grind can vary in size when using a coarser setting and that the fit between the body and the bottom cup could be a little tighter. It doesn't fall off, but with enough use, I can see it loosening up and becoming a problem. I've only had it for a few days, but I'm happy with my purchase and am hopeful that it will last.
