Having read the reviews, I decided to purchase this springform. There is no consistency among the reviews, so I don't know if they're all fake, but they're nothing to do with the product in any case, which is very poor. This is such a fragile item, it buckled when being hand washed! I would say that it is no better than an item that is thrown away after use. I would not recommend buying! Amazon must check reviews' source, making me wonder whether they check for plagiarism.
Don't waste your time. A new set of appliances was just installed in our kitchen during the remodeling. During the holidays, I made cheesecake in this spring form pan. Our baking started off fine until we started smelling horrible smoke and odor about 45 minutes in. You may need to go to the oven because some of the cheese cake has contaminated the bottom and it is now on fire. Put the oven through the 3-hour cleaning mode and let it cool down. The following goes in the trash Thanksgiving has begun in the best possible way! Look around if you want.
The bottom of the springform pan does not seem to lock tightly enough. There is a 1-in front of me I see the bottom opening is 2mm wide and causing leaks. Furthermore, I find it very light and thin.

The largest kettle you can get that still fits inside the 8-quart pot is definitely worth trying if you want the biggest size you can get. Although I have not used it in the oven, I am certain that it will work great and as described. My recommendation is to try it.
