Only the first couple of uses are nonstick, after that everything sticks. These photos show a pan that has been cleaned but still has residue on it.
It leaves a film on food and is far from being non-toxic. stick.
The first time I used it, it was rusted.
These pans are most likely suitable for baking. I don't know because I tried to make a blacksmithing forge with mine and it melted. Despite how well they performed in a less-than-ideal situation, I'm willing to give them a 5/5.
Cookware that is made of sticks is. They're fantastic for brownies! Just by looking at it, it was almost clean. We made one batch of cinnamon rolls, which left an uncleanable golden residue beneath each roll. I don't think that's a good sign because whatever is stuck there will just build up over time. I tried soaking it in water and vinegar overnight, but it still wouldn't come off. I decided not to mess with it any further because I was afraid of damaging the coating. I don't think we'll run out of brownies for a long time, but we won't be getting any more rolls. br>The second pan caught fire, but that was my fault. Despite the fact that it says cake pans, I figured I could bake two chicken breasts in it in no time. That is not something you should do. br>I'd recommend them for cakes and brownies, and I'm confident they'll last as long as any good non-stick pan. Sticky pans are the way to go. I'll continue to use glass because I don't have to worry about my children damaging the non-glass items. Use metal utensils only.
These are excellent nonstick baking pans, but they are prone to scratching. I make sure they are completely dry after washing, but I am concerned that they will rust. I try to avoid using metal utensils on these, but another family member occasionally uses a metal spatula to loosen around the edges or cut pieces.
BUT. Update. I originally gave this pan five stars because I hadn't cooked in it yet; all I did was make brownies in it and remove them with a plastic spatula, and I noticed that some of the coating was already peeling away from the bottom after only using it once, which isn't very acceptable. I'm not sure how much more will come off, but none of it should be coming off in the first place, and it is. As a result, I'm going to change my opinion. br>br>Wow. When I first received this and unboxed it, I thought I had received the two-pan set by mistake. I ordered the (single)pan, but it's so heavy and sturdy that I thought it was two pans joined together. I haven't tried baking in it yet, but it appears to be very sturdy and well worth the $5 price tag. 67 You won't be able to find something of this caliber anywhere else. I'll keep you updated if there are any problems, but it doesn't appear that there will be any. br>To be clear, I am not a professional chef, so I am not accustomed to high-end cooking equipment, but it appears to be very sturdy and far more than I would require. I'm not sure how you'd feel about it if you were a gourmet chef with $200 worth of cooking equipment, but I don't see how anyone could think it was anything less than adequate and nice, regardless.
Regrettably, you get what you pay for in this case. I've only used this pan a few times for some light baking, and the bottom edges are already rusting through. This renders it useless, as I don't want to eat rust in my baked goods. I guess I'll have to spend a little more money on a product that will last longer; don't waste your time with this one.
