I made cornbread in my new skillet, which turned out beautifully, and corn muffins in the same pan.
I adore it! Instead of using oil, use lard to coat the insides of the bisques. even bisques made with corn bread!! I'm hungry for more!.
Cast iron cookware is what we use the most. We have a lot of it, but a biscuit maker is something we don't have. I bought it for fun, and my husband initially thought I was crazy, but he now enjoys it. IS THIS A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT? br>br>IS THIS A GOOD PRODUCT? br>We've had a few non-name-brand cast iron pans that have turned out to be among our favorites. One of them appears to be this one. There are no rough edges and it appears to be smooth and of good quality. PERFORMANCE? br>br>WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT? br>This pan has excellent performance. We used it to bake biscuits several times for the Fourth of July strawberry shortcake, and they came out perfect each time. I'd like to point out that the recipe we used was paleo, which means they usually come out a little tacky on the inside, but these were perfectly done and moist in the middle. For us, this is a clear winner.
I enjoy cooking with cast iron, and this baking pan is no exception. It's perfect for making "johnny cake," as my grandmother called it. Muffins made with corn. I adore the memory of them at her house, but I've yet to be able to duplicate it. This never occurred to me as a possibility, but it appears to be the case. It's a delectable dish. br>br>I'm looking forward to trying a variety of things in it - It works well in the oven, over an open fire, or on a stovetop.
br>br> Despite adding a pat of butter to the eggs, they didn't stick in the end, with only a few bits sticking here and there. Would highly recommend! br>br>.
Corn muffins are absolutely delicious. In the same way that professionals.
