Questions & Answers
The distinction is due to texture. It all depends on whether the crunchy crisp top (often with a streusel or other topping baked on) or the soft cakey middle of the muffin is your favorite part. The crisp topping dominates the muffin tops, which have a little of the cakey inside. In terms of flavor, there is no difference.
Each cup measures 3" in diameter and is 1/2 inch thick.
Although I don't have the cover, I believe it was made in the United States! I am constantly on the lookout for items made in this country to purchase.
I haven't tried it yet, but the whoopie pie pan is 16 inches in diameter. 5 x 11. 16 x 11 inches is the size of the muffin top pan. They appear to be very close, based on what I've seen. You can make whoopie pies and muffin tops in either pan. It can also be used to make cookies and eggs (to fit English muffins). I'm sure there are other applications for it as well. I hope this has been of assistance.

The whoopie pie isn't just for whoopie pies. For the record, I did not purchase the Whoopie Pie Pan in order to make whoopie pies. This was purchased so that I could make my own breakfast sandwiches. It's one of my favorite things to do in the oven is to bake eggs. It makes perfect round egg patties for breakfast muffins or sandwiches, according to my findings. Each cavity can hold one large egg or 1/4 cup of egg white from a carton (similar to egg beaters). It's a nonstick pan, which means it won't stick to your food. I spray the pan with cooking spray before pouring the eggs in. Since I bought it in 2015, I've used it several times. Every time, the eggs turn out beautifully. This pan is excellent for whatever you require it to be: Cleaning it is also a breeze.
Our regular muffin pan made eggs that were too tall and too small for the English muffins we use, so we made breakfast sandwiches with them. This pan was the ideal solution for the situation. The eggs are just the right size for the English muffins and aren't too thick. They also pop right out of the pan without sticking to the bottom and making cleanup a pain. I'm really pleased with it!.
5" from the ground - Is that something you'd be interested in? Despite the fact that I am returning it, I give it five stars. The quality is excellent, and I appreciate the fact that there are 12 rather than the usual six. In fact, I purchased it because of its capacity. I currently own a 6 cavity pan from a different brand, which has a slightly larger diameter. The Wilton 12-piece set The cavity is exactly as advertised, measuring 3" wide at the top and 2" wide at the bottom. At the bottom, there is a 5" inch gap. According to my measurements, the depth is 3/8". br>br>In comparison to the one I already own, that slightly smaller size feels much smaller to me. Instead, I'm going to try a Chicago Metallic that is advertised as being 4" wide on Amazon.
These were purchased to be used in the making of florentine cookies, which are thin, lacy, and spreadable. I got the idea from a baking blogger, and these pans did an excellent job of confining what can be a difficult cookie to make. The slight "well" in the middle of the cookie keeps it from spreading too much and ensures a round result. Florentines can be quite sticky, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get them out of the pans once they were done baking. When they were cool enough to touch and set, all I had to do was try rotating them with a couple of fingers. I could pull the entire cookie out if they rotated. My florentines turned out beautifully!! This set of pans is fantastic!.
It's a fantastic product; I used it to bake eggs in my whoopie pan for a brunch gathering. The eggs turned out beautifully, and I haven't had any problems washing them since then.
cakes, but this pan allows you to make minor quantity errors because the only difference between them is the thickness, which is barely noticeable. br>br>If you adjust the cooking times, this pan can also be used to make small corn cakes or even regular tea cakes. Keep a close eye on your work because the dark pan can quickly brown it. You may want to buy two of these pans because each one only makes a dozen whoopee pies (two cakes are required for each).

To make whoopie pies, you don't need this. I tried them in this pan and on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and they turned out better on the parchment paper alone. Whoopie pies made with parchment paper are shown in the photo.
I can make a soft cookie-like treat with this Whoopie pie pan by using a muffin mix or a cake recipe. This will be fantastic for Christmas when I frost and decorate them. With a little help from a sugar spoon, I wiped each depression with a little oil and sprinkled it with sugar, and the cakes came right out when they were cool. I made pumpkin bread cookies with orange icing, which were not only delicious but also visually appealing. br>I'm going to get another pan or two so I can cook an entire recipe without having to clean the pan in between batches.
